Jinnosuke tilted his head down as the smaller Shinigami before he started to reprimand him;
"Keep your voice down Jinnosuke, you're late. Your arrival was expected two days ago, there will be reprecautions for that. You missed crutial training sessions and it will be appreciated if you would catch up on such. Also I would ask that you address me as Lieutenant Sazanami, not small fry."
Lifting his hands over his head and resting them on the back of his scruffy hair, Jinno felt the wash of reiatsu from his Lieutenant, Jinnosuke waved him down as if he was overheating and smiled with half-closed eyes.
"Kazuki is just as good if you so prefer. As for Captain Shizukana, she is currently with Captain Izanagi. Please wait till they are done conversing as the captain requested privacy in their matters. Now come join us, Miss Kuwashii and I will spar soon, you can join us if you so wish. Though not before I will deal with our unannouced vistor, so many these days."

Giving him a slight bow, Jinnosuke would lift his head back up shortly after and say

"Yeah, yeah, you can call me Jinno, I'm bad with the whole courtesy stuff, but I am glad to be here and promise to give it my all." Shortly and quickly after, Kazuki had b-lined his attention to the other Shinigami approaching the Tenth Captain's now doorless reception area. Jinnosuke would pay him slight attention until he heard a smaller Shinigami cry out from near the floor.

”Guess I am too small to be of any concern or notice when all these others are around. The one day, THE ONE DAY! I work up the courage to talk about my placement in the squad and this happens.”

Jinnosuke would nudge her with his foot and kneel, but this didn't put him at her level, he still hunched about a foot overhead; "Hey little blue I hear-ya, I'm big and loud and it's still like people don't hear anything I'm saying." Jinnosukle would reach his closed fist out, intending to give her a fist bump.
"You may continue floundering about like a fish with the others. Be grateful, I do permit the delay of your groveling and praise until my business is concluded."

Listening as words were exchanged and noticing the placement of hands. Jinnosuke would look up as the unknown Shinigami passed them.

" Sorry about that, Tensions have been high around lately, hope your business goes well." Even if Kuwashii did or didn't fist bump Jinno he would stand up now and look over to Kazukil " If he isn't supposed to be here, I'm sure both of those Captains can handle it. Trust in them, we can always come running, no need to jump that dude's ass over being here. Uhm, Lieutenant, sir!"

Jinnosuke would half bow again shortly before returning to his hands behind the head pose.

Kazuki didn't turn his head towards Kuwashii and Jinnosuke. His focus completely focused on Kisho as he drunk in their words:
”Guess I am too small to be of any concern or notice when all these others are around. The one day, THE ONE DAY! I work up the courage to talk about my placement in the squad and this happens.”
"Yeah, yeah, you can call me Jinno, I'm bad with the whole courtesy stuff, but I am glad to be here and promise to give it my all."

Sigh... it was always the same with these knuckleheads. Between having a mischievous fox for a captain, a childish shinigami or a muscle head, it felt like Kazuki was the 10th division's babysitter. Yet they more than made up for it by having their hearts in the right place and a hunger to grow stronger. Jinno albeit lacking the proper decorum, proved to be a big brother type not different from himself. Kuwashii despite on the verge of throwing a tantrum, was observent and focused when the situation called for it.
"Hey little blue I hear-ya, I'm big and loud and it's still like people don't hear anything I'm saying."

"My apologies, Chīsai-hi. (小さい 火- little wick/fire) We will gladly proceed with our accessment of your capabilities. Your patience and enthusiasm will be rewarded, so don't let that spark die out. Jinno why don't you spar with her and start with her shunpo or Zanjutsu if you prefer. Knowing your capabilities will not be a bad idea either."

He expects great things from them, but first...
"You may continue floundering about like a fish with the others. Be grateful, I do permit the delay of your groveling and praise until my business is concluded."

Before he can pass, a handle of a zanpakutō will bar his path, still sheathed as Kazuki redirected Kisho's attention back to him. He was still holding a relaxed pose, yet the gaze was glaring in his direction. Not out of malice or irritation, but fatigue of dealing with another Date in the same day.

"Well that certainly confirms it, a Date I presume? The air of self-imposed superiority kinda gave you away, well earned I suppose. Yet martial prowess alone doesn't give you the authority to walk in here unannounced."

Despite Kazuki's relaxed posture, he was fully on guard. Expecting retaliation based off his 'research' with Captain Date. Let's see if this Date was the same or different, despite so far the apple not falling far from the Date tree. A conflict wasn't ideal, but Kazuki was never to shy away from one. But through his masterful skill of Reikaku, he could feel his master's irritation. It was of course tea time and no one ruins or interupts captain Izanagi's tea time.

Think... how can he avoid conflict, what does this Date want? He was moving to the captain's, so most likely he was going to speak to them. Regardless which one, they are not to be disturbed. How, how... a match... if the Date blood flowed strong in him, he is not one to refuse a match. A chance to prove his superiority.

" If he isn't supposed to be here, I'm sure both of those Captains can handle it. Trust in them, we can always come running, no need to jump that dude's ass over being here. Uhm, Lieutenant, sir!"

"Even so, the captains are not to be disturbed at this time. If we as their subordinates allocate and bother them for every little thing, then the position of seated officers and lieutenants become useless. Some things we must deal in their stead and if the situation calls for it, they will step in, not the other way around."

"Hey Date, if you would so kindly wait until the captains are done speaking, that would be greatly appreciated. You don't wish to identify yourself, that's fine, but you will not go any further. Sorry for the inconvenience, but while you wait... how about a match?"

He would step back and push his zanpakuto back into the sash. His fingers still resting on the tsuba to quick draw as his Reikaku focused mostly on Kisho.

" I am sure that the normal weaklings of your division provide no challenge to one such as yourself. Worth a try to find a blade that won't break as easily. Worth to make a division praise a display of your might."

Worth a try indeed to lure at Kisho's ego to prove his superiority. So carefully Kazuki formed his words as he assumed this Date like the one before didn't believe in training. As their martial prowess was perfect and without flaws in comparison to others. So instead of a spar, a match was offered. He detested using the word weaking, but he was speaking in a language more familiar to the man before him.

The chill of winter was inevitable even in the seireitei where seasons were arbitrary. Oyuki’s image arrived within the tenth division and brought with it the undeniable frost of winter’s biting chill. Those that found themselves at the gate could find that upon his arrival their breaths were bated with a heavy steam denoting the stark drop in temperature. Even those of equal footing couldn’t escape the reality that was Oyuki’s arrival. The commotion happening before him would likely be snuffed out just the same. The unrelenting ennui that was common among captain Date was equally present amongst the individual that stood before the lieutenant of the 10th division and yet even Oyuki seemed equally as bored. It was clear that the aforementioned member of 10th division felt threatened in some way despite the clear reality that the man he was confronting prior to Oyuki’s arrival was no more than a passerby in regards to his demeanor as their was always something to be said about just how collected the Date appeared even in the face of adversity. However as Kazuki found his reiatsu leaking from his form in order to manifest the wolves at his side to subdue the trespasser he would in turn find those same wolves snuffed out like a candle covered with a cup and the life of said flame being reduced to nothing but an ember.

While the Date stopped to address Kazuki for only a fleeting moment he could find Oyuki’s footsteps in lockstep with his own. Oyuki was like a ghost in the night with the way he moved only a few steps behind Kisho, his steps in cadence as well as practically silent. Had Kazuki moved to confront Oyuki or even stop Kisho from continuing further he would find Oyuki’s piercing gaze upon him. His disinterest apparent even more so than Kisho’s, while his captain wasn’t one for violence Oyuki was more than happy to show Kazuki why he was the one hunting down the traitors of the fifth division and moreover why he was in charge of the division in his captains stead upon her falling into a coma. Of course Oyuki expected Hyoroshi to follow in step with both Kisho and himself despite the apparent commotion upon their arrival. Hyoroshi was here on Oyuki’s orders and Oyuki was here on his captain’s orders. However it was clear that Kazuki couldn’t set aside his bravado and sense of duty in the words he spoke next upon barring their soon to be collective advance.

" I am sure that the normal weaklings of your division provide no challenge to one such as yourself. Worth a try to find a blade that won't break as easily. Worth to make a division praise a display of your might."

Oyuki’s tone was somber almost as if he was exuding the depth of his own lethality in the face of Kazuki himself. It was likely Kisho would be indifferent overall however, that didn’t mean this obstruction from Kazuki would go unnoticed by Oyuki himself as he spoke, “Stand aside lieutenant Kazuki, you’re impeding the inevitable…” Oyuki said as his eyes glanced down to the zanpakuto impeding their collective encroachment on the captains meeting. Kazuki seemed to be so focused on provoking Kisho that when he inevitably realized who was speaking in the stead of Kisho was none other than Oyuki himself his attention would likely shift. In the event that it had and his reiatsu indeed leaked further from his being as a means to challenge even the presence of Oyuki he would find the tall cobalt haired figure before him unmoving in his intent to intrude on the captain’s meeting with or without Kazuki’s permission.

Kuwashii looked at Jinnosuke, the one person to not disregard her existence entirely. She recognized and understood the gesture and returned the fist bump without hesitation. She listened to what he had to say about not being heard himself.

"Hey little blue I hear-ya, I'm big and loud and it's still like people don't hear anything I'm saying."

”We just gotta be even louder or be a nuisance, that usually gets people's attention too.”

She says as the thought of making a scene has crossed her mind more than once. The only reason she hasn’t acted out was out of respect for her Lieutenant and because of what she was taught by Otokogi in the Academy. Knowing patience and the power of observation and the advantages it can give a person. It is a vital lesson that has kept her alive against many Hollows throughout the years. She ponders on something for the moment after realizing her brashness of her actions demanding a seated rank.

"My apologies, Chīsai-hi. (小さい 火- little wick/fire) We will gladly proceed with our assessment of your capabilities. Your patience and enthusiasm will be rewarded, so don't let that spark die out. Jinno why don't you spar with her and start with her shunpo or Zanjutsu if you prefer. Knowing your capabilities will not be a bad idea either."

She nodded her head as she was happy to just show off her skills to someone, even herself. She wasn’t even sure what she was capable of when the thought of moderation was thrown out the window. As she got to her feet she saw Kazuki blocking the path of the visitor with his sheathed Zanpakuto. Her facial expression clearly read, “oh no”. She wasn’t worried about anyone’s safety, it was more so because she sensed a fight could potentially break out between them. Her eyes shifted back and forth between her Lieutenant and the red haired visitor and given her Lieutenant’s demeanor he seemed familiar with him, despite Kuwashii never having seen that man before.

"If he isn't supposed to be here, I'm sure both of those Captains can handle it. Trust in them, we can always come running, no need to jump that dude's ass over being here. Uhm, Lieutenant, sir!"

Kuwashii looks at Jinno and then back to the Lieutenant and nods her head hurriedly to agree with him almost as if she is scared of getting in trouble by someone. That someone is the ghost of Otokogi who despised infighting but was forced to do so during the Civil War. If he were around now he would have made everyone face plant onto the floor with his Zanpakuto and scolded everyone for this. This girl has been so disconnected from the Seireitei she still fears being reprimanded by people who are long gone.

"Even so, the captains are not to be disturbed at this time. If we as their subordinates allocate and bother them for every little thing, then the position of seated officers and lieutenants become useless. Some things we must deal in their stead and if the situation calls for it, they will step in, not the other way around."

”Ah, Lieutenant, maybe we can still just be civil and chat because-”

”"Hey Date, if you would so kindly wait until the captains are done speaking, that would be greatly appreciated. You don't wish to identify yourself, that's fine, but you will not go any further. Sorry for the inconvenience, but while you wait... how about a match?"

”We… Umm…”

The man with red hair looked like he was one bad moment away from snapping. Kuwashii saw it as the sort of snap that would escalate from a simple spar or match to a full fledged fight. Full fledged fights tend to be more destructive and chaotic where serious injuries happen or even death of one or both participants.

"I am sure that the normal weaklings of your division provide no challenge to one such as yourself. Worth a try to find a blade that won't break as easily. Worth to make a division praise a display of your might."

Before she could speak again a cold chill fell over her instantly, not from nerves or fear but a physical chill, like the one Humans experience. A reflexive instinct caused her Reiatsu to flare up, literally, as she wreathed herself in white flames to stave off the cold. The mounting hostility had her hand reaching for her Zanpakuto out of instinct. Being out in the field combating Hollows had her combative nerves honed well enough to sense hostile tension. Her eyes shifted between her Lieutenant and the two Shinigami that stood in front of him. In her mind she was thinking about what her teacher would do…

”Equal and fair, right down the middle. Gravity doesn’t discriminate against anyone… and neither do stars…”

She mumbled that to herself and with clammy hands she grips the handle of her Zanpakuto and waits for someone to make the first move in this tense standoff.

The tension had been dangling on string's end for a few seconds when, in the distance, a hulking black-and-white humanoid rounded the corner and charged straight at the gathering. Hyoroshi was beyond the point of physically panting, sweat drops dangling from innumerable hairs and exhaustion pulling the corners of his lips into a frown; he had long resorted to his keen nose and ears to keep up with Oyuki's trail, something that could be gleamed by members the group when he reached the barracks entrance with his eyes squeezed shut. He drooped forward with his hands on his knees, desperate to catch his breath.

"Managed to...keep up with...you this time...Lieutenant sir..."

Iwamura could feel the prickling glares of most of the group on him with his eyes still closed. His heart still physically racing, his mind was yet clear, though he was nonetheless perturbed and a touch exasperated. Something or someone was keeping everyone rooted here instead of entering inside, and maybe it was one of the other Shinigami whose presence he had ascertained that was doing so, which could very well be what was about to bring the group to blows, so gleamed Hyoroshi. He had hoped to take a break from this sort of conflict so soon after Hueco Mundo...

A final huff delivered Iwamura the respite to straighten out and scan the gathering. Some familiar faces, some unfamiliar, one disconcerting in the Date clansman, but to everyone present Iwamura was unbothered, even slightly nonchalant. He briefly glanced at Oyuki one more time before systematically bowing to everyone else present.

"Good day everyone," Iwamura spoke as he rose from his final bow. "I don't know exactly what's prompted all this, but let's put away the killing intent for right now, if we can please agree to that. It wouldn't be prudent of us, and regardless, I'd have to tell my walking freezer here to turn you into popsicles!" Iwamura patted Oyuki's shoulder, chuckling a decibel too loud for a second too long. His sunniness remained stalwart, though, as he turned to Kazuki, the tattooed one in front of the entrance.

"I'm not sure we've met. I am Hyoroshi Iwamura, the Third Seat of the Fifth Division. I'm here with Lieutenant Gekka to meet with Captain Shizukana; we heard she had come here after waking from her coma. May the two of us enter?"

Hyoroshi eyed Kazuki with an earnest grin, silently hoping that he had done enough to deter the looming brawl.

"Well that certainly confirms it, a Date I presume? The air of self-imposed superiority kinda gave you away, well earned I suppose. Yet martial prowess alone doesn't give you the authority to walk in here unannounced."

The Lieutenant speaks but, his words for now, fall on deaf ears. The weight of each word spoken is eclipsed by the weight of his actions from before, having dared to bar his path a second time, with that of the man's sealed blade no less. The wheels in his head begin to turn, attempting to find a way to direct the Date's anger, to shift the trajectory of this encounter away from conflict. A wise choice, but one made far too late.

As the Lieutenant spoke the air throughout the Division grounds was already increasing, growing hotter with each passing moment. Kishō was a walking volcano, and so long as one did not annoy him or draw his attention or ire, he was a dormant one. Lieutenant Kazuki seemed intent on rousing the volcano to life.
" I am sure that the normal weaklings of your division provide no challenge to one such as yourself. Worth a try to find a blade that won't break as easily. Worth to make a division praise a display of your might."

Kishō's eyes shift to the man, though it was not out of intrigue at the prospect of this challenge. This insect squirming along the ground dared to bar his path and was now even asking for Kishō's blade to be pitted against him? Perhaps another time, any other time but now, Kishō would feel inclined to toy with the little maggot, to watch him despair in the gap between them. However he was not here for games but for work.

"I suppose you believe yourself to be what in comparison? An abnormal weakling?"

The temperature within the grounds was rising still, Kishō moments away from exploding when a cool breeze flows into the grounds of the division. The rising heat begins to recede, partially due to the sudden cold reiatsu flooding the place, the other as the very source of the heat had shifted his focus.
“Stand aside lieutenant Kazuki, you’re impeding the inevitable…”

"...I see there does exist someone with at least a modicum of intellect."
"Good day everyone. I don't know exactly what's prompted all this, but let's put away the killing intent for right now, if we can please ag-

"Silence creature."

Kishō interjects, cutting of the Third seat's introduction and attempt at fostering peace in such a tumultuous moment. Kishō has overlooked the bumbling girl, that is until she too had gripped her blade as if daring to unsheathe it before him.

"I've postponed your right to praise me, and my business sees that I will also have to postpone your executions as well for daring to stand in my way."

He speaks, his expression the same, yet his words hot, scolding even as his gaze fixes itself on the Tenth Division's Lieutenant.

"I will pass through here and retrieve your heads at a later time. But first-"

Heads, he said heads, as in plural. He was undoubtedly lumping Kuwashii into this scheduled execution as well. In her attempt to stay true to the teachings of her former sensei, and true to her loyalty to both her commitment and division she has drawn the attention of Kishō onto her.

"-KNEEL"

Just as the wave of cold had swept through the Division, in an instant heat would explode outward. Kishō's spiritual pressure had become visible, his dense super heated spiritual pressure adopting the form of lava. The ground beneath him began to glow and crack before splintering in large chunks as the reiatsu born lava punched into the air like a cannon. This pillar of lava could be seen from a distance within the Seireitei, onlookers given the impression that there was somehow a volcano at the Tenth Division and that volcano had just erupted. Where this matter could have passed through quietly, now all manner of attention was being drawn towards the Tenth.

Unlike Kazuki who had used his reiatsu to intentionally deter the oaf from before as a tool to scare the man into obedience, Kishō was doing no such thing. This was not a scare tactic, this was not a means of trying to showcase superiority over these little worms. No, this was something purer, something genuine, something one could easily understand....

This was ANGER. They've annoyed him greatly, and while he'd avoid killing them...for now at least, he still expected them to prostate themselves before him in apology for the stupidity and brazenness of their careless actions and words. Anyone present could tell, he'd accept nothing less than their immediate compliance.

One after another they would collect into the stomach of the Tenth Division. Jinnosuke watched as tensions rose to the point where even Little Blue had brought her zanpakuto out, one that made him wholeheartedly smile. He returned to his usual scowl when the area started to heat up rapidly.

He returned his focus over to Kazuki and the alleged Date kin, right when things seemed to get to a tipping point the area again would change, this time returning to normal for a brief second, then the beads of sweat stopping in their tracks as they would freeze over with an icy drop.

With everyone so focused on each other, Jinnosuke figured now would be a good time to reach behind him and grip a massive length of handle followed by a hunk of metal covered in wrappings.

6cc788969522eeb077ed6eba7d030a5b.png

While adjusting the grip of this chunk of a zanpakuto, Jinnosuke noticed the temperature and that it decided to spike back up, the same beads of sweat now evaporating off his skin as he brought the massive piece of metal forward in front of him.

" Woah, you guys might not be the best for the environment around here. Messing with the temperature like that might kill the plants."

Jinnosuke would reach out to his bandaged sword and pull the single strand of wrapping that stuck out, sending the entire thing spiraling open with a dramatic fluff of force.
0777d43c222c3ce39e5e4941cfe72324.png

Jinnosuke was nothing special, an anomaly that shouldn't exist maybe, that might be special to some. With too much potential and not enough brains, this giant oaf of spiritual being was under restrictions for his and others' wellbeing, one of them was the earrings fashioned on his load of a head.

For a brief second, while the Zanpakuto of Jinnosuke was now on display along with the others, His true spiritual pressure could be felt as if looking over their backs before being pushed back down by the earrings.

811ebefda891c9f05206f7554c3ef072.png

At this moment, Jinnosuke's raw primal being understood all too well is Date's conflict with this group of people. He understood it clearly, as he could truly feel Kishō's Reiatsu and understood his anger. But as to his roaring anger, Jinnosuke accidentally responded in kind, with pride. He is no one to bow to others, for any reason, and for that, enough is enough.

" Now, all of you are acting like a bunch of jackasses, except that cold dude who just showed up and that big-ass wolf man. Other than Little Blue and myself... and well... OKay just you two ass-hats are actin' like jerks. So either get on with your business or do something. All this waiting is makin' my teeth itch!"

Jinnosuke would look down at Little Blue and wink before looking back at everyone else.

Truth be told Jinnosuke didn't care what happened next, As time always seemed to drift slower in your mindscape, Jinnosuke couldn't help but think; ~" If a fight broke out that would be awesome, and being able to test my abilities on not only a Shinigami that uses some kind of heat but possibly a Shinigami that manipulates the cold and that Wolf guy has to be physically strong maybe fast maybe both! oh the joy it would be if someone accidentally started a free-for-all match, that way I could even test my own Liuetenant's abilities.. haha... hahaha! hahaha!"

Jinnosuke couldn't help but giggle as things got increasingly tense, who would make the first move?

As Kazuki spoke his words to Kisho, he would feel a great chill envelope over the 10th barracks. A familiar chill that he knew all too well, feeling it all the time when visiting the fifth barracks. The man he often spoke to, when he wasn't hunting traitors in Hueco Mundo, acting captain during Miss Shizukana's unfortunate coma. It smothered his reiatsu as he wasn't really attempting to emit it as a threat. Hovering lightly as he used it to scold his subordinate Jinno for his improper speech to a superior. He could feel the cold gaze sweep across the barracks and settle upon himself. His gaze meeting Oyuki back with the same cold intensity. Kazuki was relaxed before, as for tones of malice and lethality held no place amongst supposed allies. Yet with the influx of these rude vistors, they were all testing his patience. The white wolf of the rukongai was clawing out for a fight. Yet the lieutenant of the 10th barely held the beast bashing at it's cage back.

“Stand aside lieutenant Kazuki, you’re impeding the inevitable…”

He long noticed the arrival of the Frigid blade, despite his focus on Kisho. To be snuck upon will be a insult to the Sazanami Reikaku or a testiment to the shinigami's stealth. Yet it was hard not to notice him with the type of entrance he made. Kazuki's attention now divided between both Kisho and Oyoki. Easily reading that Oyuki was to push through him with or without permission. The tension was so thick that one could carve through it with a blade. Yet Kazuki didn't budge, his gaze not wavering at the two insolent shinigami.

"Lieutetant Oyuki, good to see you back from Hueco Mundo. I hear your words, but... I don't take orders from you, the captains wished to not be disturbed. And as good lieutenants we must do as our captains command. Unless your report pertains to matters of the upmost urgency, you will not pass. If it is, then you are more than welcome to address your captain, I won't stop you.

Kazuki spoke unwavering, not choosing to respond to Oyoki's reiatsu. Reacting with slightly visible irratation as he brushed frost off his left sleeve. Before a lovable and dopey wolfman appeared, trying to ease the tension.
"Good day everyone, I don't know exactly what's prompted all this, but let's put away the killing intent for right now, if we can please agree to that. It wouldn't be prudent of us, and regardless, I'd have to tell my walking freezer here to turn you into popsicles!"

Kazuki relased a long breath to ease the tension in his form, built up from the increasing irratation from those people before him. He was about to let bygones be bygones, yet...
"Silence creature."

Kazuki fingers twitched near his tsuba.
"I've postponed your right to praise me, and my business sees that I will also have to postpone your executions as well for daring to stand in my way."

EXECUTION?
Back filled with tension once more, teeth clenched in frusteration.
"I will pass through here and retrieve your heads at a later time. But first-"

"-KNEEL"

All other words became drowned out as Date unleashed his reiatsu and turned the barracks into a lava pit. The reiatsu mixing with the ice cold temperture lingering from Lieutenant Oyuki.

RETRIEVE OUR HEADS?!

Kazuki's body begun to slightly tremble as showed great restraint in reeling back his urge to lash out. He was right to think all Date were the same and after the civil war, this behavior was unacceptable. Yet he was no captain, no lieutenant. This Date assumed he owed respect and obedience, having complete disregard for ranks and those who held them. This was insubordination and not to mention reeked of treason. A deep deep sigh lingered from the trembling body full of wrath as held his composure. Attempting to speak, before Jinnosuke, the oaf that he was spoke with pride.

That... was not right move and as words jackass and ass-hat reached Kazuki's ears, something snapped. Where before he was showing restraint and control, paying no heed to their displays of reiatsu, he let go of his control. The white wolf taking the throne in Kazuki's mind, while Kazuki held the wheel. Immediately his reiatsu would lash out in all directions, but specially pin pointed at Kisho, Oyoki and Jinnosuke. Despite the cold, the wolves that were snuffed out, came back with winter coats, their breaths lingering in areas that still felt the chill of the frigid lieutenant. Despite the immense heat, the wolves would snarl as the tips of their furs lightly singled in the heat.

Everyone was now surrounded by wolves and felt nothing but immense FEAR, clawing out from the deepest pits of their souls. Kisho may have felt anger, but Kazuki felt pure unfiltered WRATH smothering all despite being slightly lower in terms of spirit level. Yet that didn't matter, as a pack of wolves didn't care if their foe was a bear trice their size. Their fangs will find purchase on it's throat nonetheless.

"You all have a lot of nerve, coming in here and making demands. Barking orders to us like we are a bunch of mongrels, Date. I apologize for speaking in such a crude manner before... not my usual way of speaking. I was just speaking in a tongue more familiar to you."

Kazuki's voice hissed out, like a cold whisper, a blade looming near ones throat. Holding back even still from bellowing forth into a roar of wrath and rage.

"YET... you do not threaten my subordinates. I suggest you dismiss the thought of head-hunting for your own well-being. With a invasion on it's way, the seireitei won't bode well from one less head. Now step down or I will count this as insubordination to a superior."

He will continue to press his reiatsu upon the Date, making fear bubble forth, fear that Kisho didn't know existed within himself. The illusion of a maw closing on his throat will be felt. Fear exists in all things and even the strongest of beast were not immune to it. Then Kazuki's animal-like gaze shifted to Oyuki, the menacing whispers reaching his ear as well.

"I hold no quarrel with you, Oyuki. I repeat once more, if your report is urgent, you may proceed. If not, then you will wait and not disturb the captains as PER THEIR REQUEST."

Lastly...

"As for you Jinnosuke... you will keep silent. Since you bashed subtlety to it's death, your further words will not be needed. Speak even another letter and you be put to cleaning duties for a decades... without alcohol."

He didn't know much about their new member, but from the reports it did say he was a heavy drinker. Hopefully with this promise, Jinnosuke will stepped down as he was sure that Sake was something he loved more than fighting. Amongst the chaos, subconsiously Kazuki still thought of his subordinates. While everyone felt great fear, Iwamura and Kuwashii will feel a boost to their moral, the spectral dire wolves panting by their sides rather than growling. Allowing them strength to stand before the great display of reiatsu before them, especially for little Kuwashii. A little reward for them displaying the proper actions and decorum. In his mind Kuwashii, by choosing to stand by her lieutenant and the right thing, has already cemented a seated position. The only thing her assessment was left to show, was how high she was to be placed.

"Now are we gonna be civil here and fellow proper procedure or are we have a problem?"

The last sentence, despite being still a hiss, echoed out. Reaching the ears of the captains, ones he didn't wish to disturb. Yet the vistors were making it increasingly difficult.

The Captain had a soft smile behind the mask as Shizukana teased him about the severity of the possible punishment. In truth the man just wanted a peaceful and uninterrupted conversation with a fellow Captain. Izanagi truly believed that their discussion would be to the benefit of many. Before he could have a sip of his tea, he felt compelled to respond to Shizukana's query. The thought of hollows invading the world of the living was a real possibility. And it’s one that Izanagi knew he needed to have something in place to deal with. The silver fox sighed and chuckled before glancing over at Shizukana Taicho.

“Your hypothetical question prompted certain actions months ago in anticipation of such an event. Explaining all of this might take some time”. He said before pausing for a moment while keeping his reikaku focused on the happenings around the barracks.

“Over the past few months, I’ve been redirecting a sizable portion of tenth division Shinigami to the world of the living. As to not cause alarm to our possible enemies, I requested that the majority of those Shinigami spend most of their time in a gigai. This way, it would appear that our presence in Naurki City is at a normal level. That is the impression I would like to give any would be invaders. If there is in fact an invasion then we should have a large number of Shinigami ready to respond. They do vary in strength and skill but they’re very regimented. We’ve spent a lot of time working on being more efficient and growing stronger as a whole”.

“I slacked off and missed out on an opportunity as it pertains to the thirteenth division. I was hoping that Central 46 would’ve brought forth a solution to the problem, but I guess they’re too preoccupied with whatever it is that they’re doing. This has left the thirteenth with no proper leadership. Which means that Karakura town is not bolstered to the same level as Naruki City. That is until recently when I made the decision to install myself as head of the thirteenth also. Now the thirteenth also reports to me which means they now also have someone at the helm. It’s going to take some work but I’m sure they will be operating at the same level in no time. I intend to execute the same protocol in Karakura town as I did in Naruki City”.

Izanagi gave Shizukana a few moments to digest the information that was being shared with her. The fifth division Captain may find Izanagi’s actions to be bizarre. It was almost unheard of for a Captain to oversee another division as well as their own. This should at least give Shizukana some insight into the type of person that she’s dealing with. After allowing the momentary silence, Izanagi continued from where he left off.

“The biggest problem I’m facing now is the lack of information. I have no eyes or ears in Hueco Mundo which is why I wanted to meet with you from so long ago. And after it was reported that you’ve taken ill, I decided to wait and hope for a speedy recovery. However, with all the time that has passed, I had plans on adding the fifth division to the list of divisions reporting to me. And I’m sure you can understand why I would entertain such a thing. Now that you’re up and about again, I’m glad I don’t have to take on the extra load. With that said, I would love to hear more about what you and the previous leader of this division had planned. That is after I share this next bit of information”. A fox grin was now drawn across the surface of the mask worn by the Captain. He figured more or less that his words might come as a shock to his fellow Captain.

“The Arrancar that I mentioned earlier revealed himself to be Estarossa Sangrados. His power is what many would deem to be immeasurable. He has long purple hair that makes him standout. He told me that things were getting weird in Hueco Mundo. And even suggested that we may end up working together in the future. He seemed concerned about his side of the tracks and I think we should be as well. Since that point I haven’t received any reports about him or his group. I find that highly suspicious. This is exactly why I can’t have any leaderless divisions just floundering about. There are certain divisions that play a key role and should they fail in their duties, then we will all suffer the consequences”.

The Captain’s words trailed off as it was becoming even more apparent that the others were starting to become rowdier with each passing moment. Izanagi proceeded to pick up his cup of tea, ready to free his face from his mask and finally drink. Except he was interrupted in a most unusual way which brought forth confusion. His tea was no longer warm, it suddenly turned hot and not long after that it was damn near frozen. Another time after that it went back to its liquid state while heating up. The masked one blinked while basking in the sudden change in temperature. Izanagi couldn’t believe what was happening, he pondered if he’d accidentally lost control of his spiritual pressure. Many Shinigami might catch a cold after such an entrance. The man sighed and looked at Shizukana, thinking he’d be more than justified if he were to kill someone. More foreign Reiatsu signatures appeared and were causing a stir. Feeling the impressive heat produced and even the visuals from Kisho’s spiritual pressure. Izanagi stood up as his own spiritual pressure went to work. At some point later he will have to thank the cold and heat producing Shinigami for their visit.

As rapidly as the heat spread through the area, everyone would come to notice that it was being pulled towards Izanagi. His Reiatsu almost manipulates the heat to his liking, minimising its spread. All that heat produced by Kisho’s Reiatsu was being pulled/sucked in towards the Captain. Before long, it would become visible around Izanagi as if he were engulfed in flames. However, he seemed to welcome it, with a sadistic grin drawn across the surface of the mask. The heat was being pulled in rapidly, all the while remaining safe and unfazed by it. The masked one was using his reiatsu and masterful control of his Reiryoku to keep himself from harm. Feeling Kazuki’s own Reiatsu flaring but at this point, the Captain’s only concern was Kuwashii’s safety. If they were to harm a hair on her head then the culprit will pay for it. Shizukana would hopefully know to keep some distance between her and Izanagi. The masked one was happy to have developed certain abilities in recent times as far as his reiatsu is concerned. He didn’t need to push against the spiritual pressure of another. He merely needed to use it to his advantage. By pulling in the heat and using himself as a focal point, its wider effect on the environment was lessened. In that span of time, Izanagi also had a eureka moment. The Captain thought of another thing he could work on in the future.

“It would appear that our children have some behavioural issues. Now then, what kind of parents shall we be? I think mommy needs to step in before daddy loses his shit”.

“It would appear that our children have some behavioural issues. Now then, what kind of parents shall we be? I think mommy needs to step in before daddy loses his shit”.”

Perhaps what she actually wanted to say would have to wait until the impromptu crowd that had grown over the past few hours could be satisfied. She couldn’t have more than a moment to think about what was said about the arrancar, and the beginnings of an idea were interrupted.

"Parents!? Hardly!”

Shizukana remarked with a chuckle while she watched Captain Izanagi writhe a little in his seat in response to the blatant disregard and disrespect amongst a gathering of a mixture of his people and her own along with an anomaly occurring below their feet. The woman had been hovering on the precipice of the line between being asleep and being awake but she had taken notice of the disturbance since its beginning, choosing to follow the steps of the tenth’s Captain considering it was his division that they were guests in. If he didn’t acknowledge it then she didn’t, when he did…she followed suit. However, just in the moment she decided that she would introduce her own spiritual power into the hot pot broiling below she became bound by hesitation.

Shizukana’s heart rate began to increase because in a burst, she was overcome by memories. These were painful memories she’d not thought of since falling into her coma, sans the nightmares that haunted her with them. Memories of a time when brother fought brother, friend killed friend as the civil war ravaged the Seireitei. Most relevantly, they were memories of when she tried to intervene between a fateful standoff between two of the most important people in her life. It was a reminder of the day she lost her sensei and her former lieutenant on the same day and about how it was all her fault. The PTSD that she suffered from now stayed her hand centuries later but, it was also true that Shizukana was enough of a professional to have healed and now know that it had not been her fault entirely. It had been the last time that she had employed the tranquilizing effects of her reiatsu and her choice to do so had ultimately lead to disaster when she had done what she thought might ease the tension of the situation.

Kurayami had to be mindful of this and regularly tell herself that he had been in an enraged state and her intervention felt like an intrusion and more than that it was insulting, an act of manipulation during a time when suspicion of all shinigami he had ever cared for was at its highest. All of this was done to him by the woman he considered closest to him and ended in a betrayal that ended in his imprisonment and the death of their beloved comrade in arms.
The anxiety that had built up faded away when she analyzed her thoughts and her pink eyes opened gently to indicate that she was present in the conversation again. Having said this, the Captain also committed it to memory that back then, her spiritual power was contending with her former Lieutenant’s who matched and at that point likely surpassed hers. In THIS situation the majority of signatures at play were decidedly below her own even if her Reiryoku didn’t currently project that. In just about every moment of every day and every moment of every night, Shizukana Kurayami is suppressing her enormous pool of Reiryoku to the point that it does not stand out and seems rather humble to it’s onlookers. She definitely was not the kind of woman who wanted a ton of attention on herself so she tended to mind her own business when she was in the Seireitei and her signature reflected that purposefully.

“I think you might be right, Don't worry, I'll take good care of this. Izanagi, would you be a dear and prepare three more cups while I’m gone? Lovely.”

Without waiting for a response and trusting her fellow Captain to trust her, Shizukana stood to her feet and with her rise from her chair, the woman loosened the seal on a sizable portion of her spiritual power. It was enough in volume and strength to overcome each one of them in order to gain their attention simultaneously for they had all gotten her’s. With each step her power became exposed to the atmosphere until soon they could see her small feet descending the steps of the balcony.

Kurayami’s reiatsu crept down the staircase like a gentle, shimmering pink and incorporeal fog and spread out into the space until there was no space that it did not fill but it’s essence was not meant to impune or oppress like the rest had been doing, on the contrary, the effects everyone would experience were that of pacification and induced epiphanies like compromise and due to her masterful control over its wealth, every person’s experience with it would be unique to what she perceived that they required at the time. It targeted the spiritual power of higher or more intense signatures and outdid them purely to settle their aggression long enough for them to be able to see things more reasonably and introduced a much more serene atmosphere rather than to continue on with the incessant loop of disruption they were all stuck in.
Fully in view, Shizukana greeted them each with a sparkle in her bright pink eyes initially and a soft smile that expressed that she was happy and happy to see them to boot.

Firstly, she addressed her own team so that they would be removed from the equation regardless of the positions they played in the incident, all of which she had indeed overheard the whole of even if she might not have been totally conscious at the time. Why they were there though, she had no idea. She did not remember telling anyone to tell either of them to come to the tenth division, but that didn't mean she was upset that they had come! Funnily, the one who had actually given the command had been one of Shizukana's trusty mod souls Fabio who had the notification sent after Kurayami had escaped her hospital chamber.

“Lieutenant Oyuki! Please stand aside and wait for more instructions! The same goes for you, Iwamura!”

Her essence was a breath of fresh air to them, a mediated warmth, a sanctuary incarnate to them. Like an angel, her voice chimed sweetly as she gave them her commands, and this was a way of her telling them that she was excited to see them again but urged them to remember that formality and decorum had to be maintained under the current climate of the recently developed circumstances. Confident that the both of them would understand and obey her without question, she moved on.

In the same way, the wave of her spiritual power and her reiatsu’s effect carefully enveloped the young Kuwashii and so for her, there was a modicum of relief from the amalgamation of clashing spiritual powers by being sure to apply an amount to her that would stave off the brunt of it for her, thereby ensuring protection from the rapidly changing elements and damage the rampaging reiatsu was responsible for.
This was a result of a habit she had formed during her time in the fourth division when she fought in the unhollowed wars and risked her life to save her fellow shinigami by extending any means of relief to them and by extension, automatic protection with a battle of attrition against Reiryoku far exceeding their own.

To Jinnosuke, her reiatsu bequeathed the tranquility of her elation that he was there to see her but at the same time, it was interred with a ‘scolding’ and would have resembled feeling as if a mother had come down to check on her child and his friends to make sure they were behaving themselves and the instant shock this gave naughty children caught in the act.

She did not look at Kisho until she had come further down the steps so that she was no longer at his level but below it. This was easy for her considering that she was much shorter than him in comparison physically so instead of looking down from above she was now gazing up at the Date and right by his side. Honestly, she was truthfully happy to see him as it had been some time since they had seen one another, even though they did share the same division once upon a time. For him, the effects of her reiatsu asked his favor in the form of a truce if only for the time that he would spend with her. It was not a culprit trying to trick him because it knew Kisho and Kisho knew it and it did not make an attempt. She asked for his mercy in the way that she bowed her head lightly to the ruffled young Date and spoke to him courteously although a haori shined white upon her back she seemed like she was completely at ease to onlookers and speaking with a friend or at the very least a once fellow division member.
As a therapist by trade Shizukana was well versed in the art of manipulation and familiar with doing business with and interacting in a particular way with certain individuals on prestigious levels that begot her better responses and results. For example, acknowledging someone’s overindulgent arrogance by graciously appealing to their better natures.

Most of the leadership and those of great standing considered Shizukana to be a ‘Freak.’, a ‘Kook.’ and the list went on, behind her back of course because no one seemed to have the courage to stab her in the front. So whether it was to her back or to her face she didn’t care if someone thought she was weak, or thought she was pathetic for groveling to Kisho because her sights as a Captain of the Fifth Division and a member of the Gotei 13 were and would always be set on the objective. It didn’t bother her in the least and this sentiment just might prove beneficial to what she needed to accomplish now.

“Kisho! It’s good you’re here! I could really use your advice right about now. Would you care to join in on Captain Izanagi and my meeting? If you’re in a rush, we can cover what’s on your mind first and proceed without you but I would owe you one if you’d share some of your wisdom with me! After you. Then, if you truly want, you can always resume all this kneeling stuff to your heart's content!”

There was no mention of the clash of temperamental spiritual power that had occurred minutes before, just the soothing feeling of being in the Captain’s presence and the satisfying welcome of her invitation to a place higher up than the plebeians gawking at them. She was more than aware of the mistrust surrounding the Dates and the not so recent civil war but she also fully believed that if trust were to ever have a chance at being repaired or fostered then someone had to make the first move.
Whether it was a stupid decision or not only time could tell but she was certain that whatever he had to discuss with her had to be of significant importance and he may just share some of his insight if she played her cards right. His advice had proven to be exponentially helpful in the past in her experience, and how so many great tales about the Date go.

Finally, Shizukana focused her attention on the Tenth Division’s Lieutenant and used her hand to gently touch the hilt and apply a little pressure so as to beckon him to lift it up and out of the way of Kisho and her two subordinates. In the most polite way possible and in true Captain Kurayami fashion.
Her reiatsu eliminated all semblance of fear in the atmosphere and replaced it with her signature’s relaxing calm. All of this urging him to come to an understanding. His wolves received belly rubs, he got a hug… It was telling him that everything was okay, and that he could stand down safely and that he had done a good job. If that wasn’t enough, the Captain acknowledged him further by speaking to him directly.

“Lieutenant Kazuki, I ask that you please let my guest and my subordinates return with me to our very important meeting. Thank you for your vigilance and taking your job so seriously, but I’d like to remind you and everyone here of something extremely vital!”

Her reiatsu began to recede into her once more until rather quickly it had been expunged from the vicinity and Shizukana’s immense reserves withered back to something unrecognizably low.
