Rukongai

“I think if your blade was to carve its way through flesh you’d be more successful. But considering the situation at hand, it would appear there is no one worth slaughtering. Back to my little corner I go”. The cruel mistress spoke to her Shinigami, doing well to highlight a little bit of bloodlust on her part. And in some ways, her words held some truth. There is nothing like an opponent that you wish to kill to test your blade on. Unfortunately there were no such offerings and as such Izanagi will have to make do for the moment. The masked Captain knew what he wanted to do, but struggled as he tried adding the final touches to the technique. In its current form it was still useful but the final or desired form was out of reach. At least for the moment as it was only a matter of time before he would reach his goal. Izanagi’s determination wasn’t something to be underestimated. Although, he wanted to be as efficient as possible and not waste too much energy on the wrong things.

“As you’re dancing around the issue, have you even thought of a name for this technique? Such things are important, you know”. It would appear that Kisshouten was the more talkative of the two. On this occasion since the dynamic could change at any moment. Izanagi continued practicing his sword swings with both hands. Meanwhile doing well to utilize the mastery of his Reiryoku and usage of the spiritual pressure to pull as much heat in towards himself as possible. The Captain closed his eyes and steadied himself, he remained still while controlling his breathing. His spiritual pressure flooded the area in which he stood as it became heated. It expanded outwards as it flowed which was the easy part. What Izanagi attempted wasn’t something most Shinigami would ever practice. As the area around himself became super heated as a byproduct of his Reiatsu. Izanagi came to a pause as it was now time to reverse the flow.

He attempted it before but now he wanted to be a little more patient so that he would get a better feel for it. “You can be quite sadistic at times”. He finally said in reply to his Zanpakuto spirit who was keen to pester him. Izanagi wasn’t about to lose focus now as he was so close to reaching his goal. Izanagi had to feel his way through it. If one were to imagine it all, then it would be like a clock. Clockwise would be the flow of his spiritual pressure and its effects spreading outwards in a particular direction.

Tick tock the clock went as his eyes began to glow as a result of his Reiatsu. It was now time to rewind the hands of time. The clock now needed to move anticlockwise and so he focused on just that. The masked one could feel the air changed around him as what was once out in the open was being pulled back in towards him. The anticlockwise movement of the heat would continue until it arrived at the very second that his spiritual pressure had begun to flow.

Izanagi could feel the heat in the area being drawn closer to him, wrapping his body in a warm embrace. It was hair raising to him as his excitement grew in that moment. The thought of pulling off such a challenging task deserves praise. With that said, praise wasn’t what he was looking for. More and more heat was being sucked in towards the Captain. And as it happened, the speed at which this happened was moving faster and faster than before. The whole point of the technique was to be as quick and efficient as possible. Quick and efficient will result in something devastating. Of this Izanagi was sure, he now needed to bring his vision to life.

As the heat was being sucked in, the man opened his eyes now concentrating on his Zanpakuto. He could now feel the heat around him and so it was time for another attempt. Like before on his first attempt, Izanagi started to focus the heat on his Zanpakuto, redirecting it from just himself and onto something else. His Zanpakuto then started to heat up, suggesting that it was time for another attempt. The Captain shifted his weight and took in a deep breath. He had a look of seriousness as silence overtook the area for a few moments.

‘Swooosh’ as his blade came down in a vicious swipe releasing all the heat that had been gathered. Said heat exploding forward as a superheated geyser erupts from his blade traveling outwards at his target. The swing was accompanied by a shockwave which effectively caused the ground to rumble while being ripped up. The area suffered from a scalding due to the extreme heat that was being emitted as a result of the technique. It still wasn’t perfect but progress was certainly being made. Izanagi stopped for a moment to admire his work.

And what he saw was good, more than satisfactory but not perfect. The imperfections of the technique will only drive him to fully complete it. All things considered, now may be a good time to return to the Seireitei and check on his affairs. It would appear that he has a number of things to discuss with his Lieutenant. Thinking more broadly about the Seireitei and the Gotei squads. Jushiro couldn’t shake the feeling that they’re still ill prepared for what is to come. Izanagi wasted no time in sheathing his blade as it was now time to return to his domain.

The masked one allowed his mask to cover his face completely this time as he returned to his lodgings to retrieve his things. Jushiro took his time packing, using the moments that went by to plot his next move. The lacklustre nature of the Gotei was a cause for concern but there was no use dwelling on it. If there was a problem then surely there is a fix. Once packed up completely, Izanagi left the confines of his lodgings and so began his journey back to the Seireitei. Goodbye for now, Rukongai.

As the crowd that young Kuchiki presented himself before them, he opened the conversation by introducing himself by name and rank. Speaking to whom he assumed he was the leader of the band of rioters. And because of even mentioning his name, the most infamous noble name throughout the Soul Society before an angry mob. The name Kuchiki only angered them further. Was someone of noble sent here to sway them with words? Was that even enough? He was foolish enough to think he could compare his lost, a noble, to the likes of poor and lowly people such as themselves.

FORMER2-NDCAP.png

As he spoke, a wrinkled, feeble-looking elder walked through the crowd. His hair was as white as snow, and he appeared to be wearing a loose-fitting black gi with white trimmings but evenly matched in height with Kinko, if not a few inches shorter. The older man's eyes fully saw the Lieutenant of Division Two, who stood in the center of the riot of every man and woman. Kinko would not have seen his eyes, for it was hidden behind a pair of dark-tinted glasses, and the crowd slowly parted to make way for the true leader of this crowd.

"And we do not pity you, Lt. Kuchiki. After all this time, they sent a noble to grace us with his presence to talk us out of going against the Gotei 13. I figured they would try to bully us into bending the knee to a noble. You expect us to feel sorry about your story? And then you want us to believe the person who attacked our family and slaughtered them was not a member of the Court Guard Squads? It took this long until we started making noise so they could finally listen to us. Or maybe....."

He paused for a brief moment to face his followers.

"Maybe they sent you here to exterminate us. It wouldn't be the first time. Won't be the last!"

The crowd cheered, feeding off the energy that he was giving them. Then, the leader would face his attention back towards the Kuchiki boy.

"There is no point in talking. Even if what you say is true, what will prevent this from happening again? Hmm? Words are no longer enough. And you speak of justice! But how about you, Lt? Did you ever receive justice for your clan? Was the person responsible ever been in? Or did you try to take revenge?"

He stopped to give Kinko time to answer those questions and to respond to everything else he brought up.

"You see, this isn't just about revenge anymore. It's about protecting ourselves from the very people who bring nothing but death—the same people who fight amongst themselves time and time again. No one can guarantee our protection anymore. So you can try to use your charming words, but talking is no option for us."

The last few words he spoke, he would have turned his back towards the Lt while looking to disappear back into the path that was created by his followers, and row by row, they would block the pathway in case the Kuchiki was going to leap into action against their elderly leader. His last words gave them the choice to do as they wished. Every face staring at Kinko went from a straight, stern expression to an angry look. It was as if things were turning for the worst, looking like they were about to make things violent.

The idea that the court guards could be responsible was almost inconceivable. At least the one of more recent times. During the year of the civil war, he’d understand that. Yet he stood there and it would seem that they didn’t trust the Court Guards. Well, he really couldn’t blame them for their anger but to think about going to such extreme measures about a situation where they only had assumptions without fact? Now that was something that was rather unwise.

Stating his name seemed to have been a mistake. They didn’t want him there to help because he was a noble. They didn’t think he could understand what they felt. Their ignorance blinded them to what truly mattered over bloodlines. Though he had authority to handle the situation anyway he could, he preferred to have peaceful negotiations. It was much better than senseless bloodshed.

What he found rather interesting but not very amusing was how quick to judge or falsely assess his intent the supposed leader seemed. He even assumed Kinko was there to exterminate them. His words were far from the truth with that one.

“You judge me based on where I was born…just because I was born into a family doesn’t mean I’m like all other nobles. It’s the same way you’re not like all citizens of the Rukongai. I look at you all the same way I look at everyone; as people, as individuals. Not as others beneath me.” He started.

“Now onto your questions.” He said calmly. “To answer them clearly and bluntly, no. I haven’t personally received justice for the clan but a war among clans is not that simple. Many were responsible and I was far too young to even have much of a chance in pursuit of such justice. That responsibility fell on my predecessor.”

“Truth is, I hated the Tsunayashiro family for a very long time but I couldn’t judge everyone of them for actions they didn’t individually commit. My former captain was a member of that clan yet I put aside my ill feelings towards that past that our clans shared aside and viewed him as an individual.”

He took a small breath before speaking again. “I recognized that nothing good would come from seeking revenge, especially with people who were not directly responsible for what happened.”

The words that followed were a declaration. Clearly this man was not planning on standing down. Some people just couldn’t be swayed with words. Kinko understood that. Talking would accomplish nothing here. It was like Kinko said earlier, the choice was theirs.

As the man disappeared into the crowd again, Kinko looked at every one of them. He tried to calculate the best way to proceed since things were escalating to a higher level. He didn’t want to resort to killing them however if they chose to attack the Court Guards then he’d have no choice. “I take it that your choice is made then. That is your right.”

Suddenly Kinko vanished from their sights. He reappeared in the shadows away from their vision. He was told to handle the situation by any means necessary. Protecting the soul society was his number one priority.

He appeared once more, this time blocking their path. “The time for talk is over like you said. I’m not here to hurt anyone but if you rise up against the Court Guards then you’d leave me no choice. I will ask that you reconsider your decision to go after the Sereitei and the 13 Court Guard squads.” His hand rested on the hilt of one of his zanpakuto; the hilt of Yami. This was to show his seriousness and sincerity.

The Lieutenant's words carried to every soul around him like a pack of wolves. They heard him but still barred their fangs, ready to pounce at any moment. But their emotions were feeding off one individual, and the older man seemingly listened to his words about how he viewed the citizens of the Rukon the same as everyone else.

"Oh? If you genuinely see us as the same, how were our friends and family not protected? Why did it take so long for someone to answer us? Why, now that you, the Gotei 13, decide to stop us from bringing violence to your doorstep for someone to come to annihilate us? Though it's good that you managed to cope with that. But deep down, it still angers you. Deep down, I know you feel so weak and pathetic that you want to be stronger to get revenge, right? If you were strong enough, you would have done it already. Yes, you were a child, but you have gotten older. You should be more than capable of doing what you should have set out to do. And you say you put aside your feelings. Why do you think that was? Hmm? Fear? Weakness? Or was it some false loyalty that you convinced yourself to be?"

The elderly-looking man told the young Kuchiki he was looking to leave him to the 'wolves' to slaughter. Still, even this leader who brought everyone together knew that no one in this crowd could survive an encounter with a Shinigami. There was a deeper play in the works, but these followers were blinded by hatred and anger. They wouldn't be able to see the poison he was feeding. He spent months comforting their needs, giving them false hope for his gain, but what exactly was that? No one knows.

The Young Kuchiki materialized into nothing before their eyes, only to reappear and stand in the leader's path. The white-haired matriarch looks stern and unfazed by his skills of performing his high speed to stop him in his tracks. He wasn't by any means impressed.

“The time for talk is over like you said. I’m not here to hurt anyone but if you rise up against the Court Guards then you’d leave me no choice. I will ask that you reconsider your decision to go after the Sereitei and the 13 Court Guard squads.”

The white-haired elder suddenly chuckles, but then it slowly becomes a loud laughter manically.

"Ah, yes. This is the part where you strike us down, huh? Go on. Strike me down...."

"SHINIGAMI!"

He shouted towards Kinko with pride, ready to lay his life on the line, anticipating that the hand that rested on his weapon of destruction would take his life. Arms stretched out wide, accepting his fate, or was it something more?

oldladysenko.png

Something was nearby, away from prying eyes, where they could not be seen watching as everything unfolded, waiting silently. They didn't appear normal by any means; their peeking eyes looked...mechanical. Even if the young Kuchiki were skilled in sensing danger, he wouldn't feel this individual's presence or whereabouts for an unforeseen reason.

In the past, before the whole civil war, the Kuchiki were the aristocrats who also were great at being the people's champion. Their relations with the soul society on the whole meant something. They cared and protect it with their very being. That much hasn't changed. Kinkō still believed in being an advocate for everyone, noble and non-nobles alike.

It would seem that this supposed leader wanted to disregard all of that history and view him as only a noble. That's why the young leader made sure to voice his views on seeing them all as individuals; as people. They were worthy of respect just like anyone else. He could understand their struggles even if they didn't think he could.

The leader questioned his response and fairly so. The questions asked were direct but his assumptions were not all right. While one would think that he needed revenge, Kinkō had long left revenge for his clan in the past. It accomplished nothing and would only serve to cause more unnecessary bloodshed between people. He didn't get to that conclusion alone... it took the help of his sister, Heikō, before he truly decided to put to rest the anger and hate for the Tsunayashiro family.

He had more important duties and things to worry about and that was why he changed his perspective and focus. It allowed him to serve his former captain well up until the man died. Where he was partially correct was Kinkō believed himself to be weak. At least he did after Nobu got killed one of the former Kenpachi and he was powerless to do anything about it. It had nothing to do with the Shihoin or the Tsunayashiro that played a part in massacring his people. It was as he said, that responsibility fell on his predecessor, Sachiko, and judging by the fact that they weren't still fighting each other, he believed some level of justice was enacted.

"You are rather direct. That is good. It makes conversation clear." He stated, admiring the straightforwardness of the leader. "I do not think myself weak or pathetic. What you misunderstand is me. I don't believe senseless bloodshed will accomplish anything and for that reason the lack of conflict between the Kuchiki and the Tsunayashiro clan as well as the Shihoin clan is reason that revenge is not necessary. Justice however is not revenge." He looked over to the Sereitei in the distance and then back at the leader. "My loyalty is in the soul society and its denizens. That is why I was able to put my feelings aside and focus on the task of serving. If that is a weakness then so be it."

After Kinkō rematerialized in front of the leader, he noticed the play at hand. This man wanted Kinkō to kill him but that was not what the vice-captain was going to do. He wasn't going to play that game. "No." He said plain and simple. "I'm not here to kill."

Pointing his index finger at the leader, a spark of yellow energy generated from Kinkō's fingertip, which summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection and hold them in place. "Bakudō #61. Rikujōkōrō." Once the beams were in place, he spoke again. "This is a precaution to make sure you don't force my hand."

Fuyuko raced through the districts. Straight towards the 58th. The speed, the wind in her hair. It was a refreshing feeling. One she missed before she became part of the 9th, Before she became his lieutenant Before that day.

She raced on seeing the mess of the riots, seeing the gathered crowd. There was another Shinigami down there. it was that kuchiki brat. Kinkō right? Kagi's new Lieutenant. She took in a deep breath as she descended. She didn't know what has been said or done but all she knew is he was resorting to Kido use upon innocent civilians.

Was he dumb? was his brain even functioning? All she could foresee is chaos to erupt from this. This was surely what they wanted. He was playing into their hands.

" Bakudō #81: Danku"

She spoke as a translucent wall formed between the Kuchiki and the citizens just as the kido was placed. She formed a few feet behind him as she walked to his side then slightly infront of him, keeping her hand rested on the ribbon bound hilt of her purple zanpackuto. She moved till she was in-between both him and the crowd.

Her emerald green eyes watched him with their empathetic glance as she looked over at the crowd " Lieutenant Kuchiki. Stand down. That is an order. Use of force upon an unarmed citizen is not right and just proving a valid point to their gathering here." She spoke in dismay of his approach. She was not happy and figured the crowd would not be either.

She then turned towards them. " Citizens stand down, I wish to speak to the head of this riot. Not as the head lieutenant, not as a Munetoshi, but as a citizen of this realm the same as all of you. Stand down. Enough blood and tears have been shed. Countless souls have been lost on both sides. Infighting will prove nothing to anyone, just continual blood shed and hatred. The soul society as a whole will never heal at this rate. " She called out to get the attention on her.

"Have anyone here thought of what their love ones would say if they saw you now? Would they be happy to see their mothers, their fathers, their lovers and childern so angry? Would they be sad? I lost loved ones in those wars. I have lost very dear friends, some siblings. Some gave their lives to stop other lives from being taken. Some, never had a wish to see their end the way they did."

She asked deciding to go with an understanding route. This was familiar to her. She remembered such things as a child when she was training among the rukongai. She seen their pains, their struggles. She was a minor noble but her family was all for finding the gifted indivual. Sponsoring them opportunities to becoming Shinigami. Though she never had to live the life they did or eat the meals they did. She never knew the damage of seeing a love one pass away in the streets. She never had to worry of being harmed by anyone outside the compound growing up. She had her servants, her teachers, her caretakers even her siblings.

Her pains were not the same as theirs but she lost siblings in the civil war. She lost someone dear to her because of a lost of movement. Least she could do as a lieutenant was come down to their level and acknowledge their pains and hopefully remind them to think before they act. After all, most citizens could not handle any Shinigami other then with numbers.

Kinko has denied being weak and pathetic, further explaining his service and loyalty to the Soul Society. He was a young boy with many shared experiences, possibly too kind-hearted and pure, resorting to using words rather than actions. Is it because of the Civil War watching the unnecessary battle and blood take place? Losing people dear to him? Is it some change of perspective on how to deal with situations with just killing? He was nothing but a puzzle looking to piece everything about himself together, but for what?

The young Kuchiki not only denied any means of being weak, but he also denied the ring leader of this aggravated crowd the death. A single stroke would have sufficed, but Kinko realized it and changed his tactic to detain the individual instead. He conjured up a kido spell, which would have kept him temporarily paralyzed until someone else interfered with his tactful action.

" Bakudō #81: Danku"

A sizeable translucent wall suddenly appeared to counteract the prior kido spell, Rikujokoro substituting itself in the man's stead. Each rod stuck all around the frame of the wall's midsection. And both kido vanished into nothing but reishi shards after it was said and done—the Head Lt. prevented Kinko's actions, which she was successful, but was it smart to jump in so quickly? Arriving in such a way that she did not take the time to assess the situation, she did not witness the leader tainting the civilian's minds by giving them a false sense of justice to seek revenge—the Head Lt. did not see how he was preying on the Kuchiki's past by playing on the strings of guilt. Though the white-haired leader has not been successful, as it seems, Kinko already had his mindset and was true to himself.

Being a former member of the Stealth Force, she should have known how to assess the situation before jumping in. There is a benefit in playing the waiting game, waiting for the most opportune time to jump.

"Lieutenant Kuchiki. Stand down. That is an order. Use of force upon an unarmed citizen is not right and just proving a valid point to their gathering here."

A barking order from the Head Lt herself while it appears that she did not take kindly to Kinko's use of force. Had she arrived promptly, she would have seen how Kinko pleaded with his little heart to the people with his words. Trying to win them by making them understand how their plot to storm the Seiretei was unnecessary and that revenge isn't justice. So he did the next best thing, which he was on the verge of possibly choosing violence; he changed his ways to apprehend the leader instead. Such an action allowed the man to escape his fate of being held down by Kinko's kido. Visibly, the man's expression was nothing on the surface; deep down, the corner of his mouth curled upwards. She was ecstatic at the sight that someone had saved him right then, viewing him and everyone else as innocent.

"Citizens stand down, I wish to speak to the head of this riot. Not as the head lieutenant, not as a Munetoshi, but as a citizen of this realm, the same as all of you. Stand down. Enough blood and tears have been shed. Countless souls have been lost on both sides. Infighting will prove nothing to anyone, just continual bloodshed and hatred. The soul society as a whole will never heal at this rate."

Another shinigami spoke with words, the exact words Kinko had already spoken to them, which had been twisted by the very same man she prevented Kinko from detaining.

"A Munetoshi in our midst? Oh, isn't this a pleasant surprise!"

The man said, half bowing out of respect for her presence despite her renouncing her surname as a Munetoshi for the sake of the situation. But how could the riot move further because her name influenced the Rukon district? Unlike the Kuchiki, the Munetoshi have a strong relation to the Rukon district due to their past dealings and the community they built. However, her words quelled some of the angry crowds as they allowed her words to cause them to rethink their actions. For another shinigami who appeared and had no intentions of killing them, no intent on violence. They rethought their position on whether they had been right or wrong because of their confused minds.

Thud

Thunk

Several wood or metal objects were dropped onto the floor, enough for everyone to hear. It wasn't everyone, but a small group out of a large crowd decided this wasn't for them. They walked past the man in charge with no intentions of any violent behavior and walked in shame, feeling as if they betrayed their cause. They all walked over to the same side as Lt. Kinko and Munetoshi with their heads down.

"You."

"COWARDS. YOU SPINELESS COWARDS! YOU ALLOW THESE SHINIGAMI TO POISON YOUR MIND! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOUR LOVED ONES GONE MISSING? KILLED MINDLESSLY FOR NO REASON? HUH? THEY MAY HAVE CHARMED THEIR WORDS TO SHOW SYMPATHY TODAY, BUT WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW? OR THE NEXT DAY? YOU THINK THEY WILL SHOW UP TO HELP YOU?"

He shouted out of frustration now that he had lost some control of the situation, as he did not expect a Munetoshi to get involved. This angered him greatly, and he riled up the ones who were left who stood on his side.

"Go on! Kill the traitors and the two shinigami over there!

The man ordered them to kill them for the more significant cause, believing that eliminating them both and all those who switched sides would not only set an example but also give them the false idea that, with their numbers, they could take them on with no problem. Some hesitated still, and only a few moved and charged toward the other side with wooden spikes, torches, and swords. The few that charged, more followed after, and then a few more. But the rest did not move; they stood by and watched.

oldladysenko.png

"Ooooooh oh! This is getting rather interesting. What shall you do now, shinigami?"

The odd person hiding amid everything unfolding continues to watch. It was hard to determine their motives. Why haven't they interfered? What do they get out of watching? Was it to study the shinigami habits? Entertainment? Waiting for the outcome to spread word of mouth to the neighboring districts? It was too early to tell, but there was another who gazed upon the scene that was unfolding. Arriving shortly after, the head lieutenant came to the aid of Lt Kinko. Masking their presence, but only enough that anyone who wasn't at an expert level in sensing would not feel or be aware of their presence. Those who could detect this individual would see them as no threat.

Disappointed.... Kinkō was disappointed in the head lieutenant. The situation was under control yet she interrupted him and in the stupidest way possible. This wasn't the first time she had shown him that she was incompetent and highly emotional. That made him question the intelligence of those who served in the stealth force. He knew that she came from the onmitsukido and served under his captain during his time before joining the 2nd division. Judging by her becoming a lieutenant and then the head lieutenant, he expected more from her but she was simply a disappointment.

The first time, he could understand that tensions were high. Her captain at the time was revealed to be in charge of the rebellious side of the civil war. She ignored what he said completely and went with an emotional response, even going as far as threatening his bloodline. Here she was showcasing her inability to see what is going on without putting useless emotions at the forefront of her actions.

Was Munetoshi so ignorant that she misunderstood what he did? The way of binding kido spell used had no force yet she came here to lecture him on use of force. The six rod light prison would have detained the man and prevent any rash actions yet her interruption allowed for the man to remain without bounds.

Kinkō didn't take his eyes off of the ring leader. The man was simply too dangerous to be given any chance to attack while he wasn't focused. As she spoke to the rest of the citizens, he made sure the man didn't attack her or him. Her words were simply his yet they worked this time. Perhaps it was the fact that she reinforced what he said earlier. He wouldn't let her take all of the credit in the after action report. He would be honest about the full encounter, even the part where she rushed in and barked orders.

Though some of the citizens dropped their weapons and stood down, others were still rearing to go. They were ordered by the ring leader to kill; and not just the shinigami but their fellow neighbors who decided against rashness. This situation could have likely been avoided had Fuyuko not interrupted but there was no point in worrying about that now. He needed to multitask. He had to protect the citizens from each other, fend off the attackers and make sure the ring leader didn't escape. "Munetoshi, protect the citizens who won't fight."

"Illuminate, Hikari!" He drew his zanpakuto and released his shikai. The sword glowed brilliantly before separating into thousands of tiny particles of light. The particles became multiple swords of light that hovered around Kinkō.

Kinkō rarely used his zanpakuto spirits separately. When he did there were reasons for it. For non-lethal situations, Hikari was the best bet. Her special technique allowed for him to not only handle multiple threats but he could do so in a way that minimized the use of lethal force.

Having trained with the head lieutenant a few times by request of his captain, he created code words to warn her of certain techniques he used in the event that they were in combat and he was going to use a technique that could potentially affect her. "Shining!" That was the code word for blinding technique coming, close your eyes. Hopefully she wasn't too featherbrained to be stubborn and stupid at this time.

"Mabayui Dātsu!" He sent one of the light swords between the assailants before it exploded. The explosion was unable to cause any physical damage and the application of the technique was used to blind targets. He was immune to the light and could see fine. The assailants would be blinded for 15 seconds before they can somewhat see again; 30 seconds before they regain their sight completely.

With the time given, he immediately raised his finger to the ring leader again, this time he used the bakudō without incantation.
"Bakudō #61. Rikujōkōrō." Once the six rod prison had found its mark, Kinkō appeared above the blinded assailants, hovering above. "Bakudō #62, Hyapporankan!" When the blue-white glowing rod of energy in his hand, he threw it at all the assailants. The rod multiplied into a hundred more rods, raining down on them; pinning them against the nearest solid surface. If successful, this would completely immobilized them.

Fuyuko watched them all as she was sure none would listen to her. Cause why would they. She was of the force they were rioting against. She wore the uniform they feared, they hated. She couldn't blame them to think ill of the uniform. She seen the deaths of many, she felt that betrayal to many times. She watched as the title of commander had changed. Would all this had happen or felt so bad if she was never to have transferred from the omni? Would she be able to re-feel the cold emotions in her heart?

She watched as some of the citizens heard her words and listened. At least if blood was to be shed as it seemed written, maybe not so much. However she didn't expect it to end. The head of this riot was still alive. He seeked blood, He seeked death to bring forth a pointless slaughter. Would such a thing been avoided if she hadn't arrived? What if she remained hidden and watched? That is what she would have done in a former life but she wasn't omni she was be a lieutenant, the head Lieutenant of the 1st squad. She was here on a request from The 2nd squad captain. As long as her other many captains didn't need her, she could help.

She watched kuchiki as she shaked her head. The lieutenant clearly did not care for her. That was fine in her book. Now was not the time to squavel and be at each other. The only way to stop this was to cut the head off the snake. She looked at the citizens who did not wish to fight, who did not raise to join in.

"All of you leave, return to your families or find other Shinigami in the area. Tell them of the riot." She spoke removing her seethed blade, securing it shut with the ribbon on the end. Shibori wasn't needed yet. She watched Kinko take out one of his zanpackuto. The one he said was his sisters. She had trained many times with him and learned a lot of his skill set along with him learning her own. She closed her eyes just as he activated Hikari's Shikai. A blade of light and a bright one indeed. It was a good way to disorient the enemies compared to his other one.

She held her sheathed blade ready and down infront of her using her senses while allowing her reiatsu out. She wasn't about to release the flood gate of hers. Oh no just enough to scare off any and all who dare step up to challenge her. A hue of gold seem to flow out and around her. It was calm, it was inviting, almost seemingly too inviting for those who could even think to trust it. She was going to hold the back line, like Kuchiki take control. If not, then well she would clean up the mess she has still been dealing with on many fronts. Today would be no different.

She was relaxed but on guard, she listened to every movement, every breath and heart beat within her range. She didn't need her eyes to see the battle afoot. Nor did she need her blade to hold of simple citizens. " Only cowards would follow a feral mutt." She breathed to herself she was ready and would tend to anyone with disarming strikes that dared to try going for those who didn't fight around her.

Both of the shinigami had disdain for each other tactics, but regardless of their issues, they managed to work well to deal with the matter. Lt. Kinko acted first against the attackers while having the Head Lt defend civilians who defected to their side. How long could they work together to complete the task at hand? An overthinker and a hasty little birdy. Head Lt was out to prove she was no longer part of the Stealth Force, but one should not stray away from what they learn. One does not simply forget that every skill and lesson can be used to one's advantage. Head Lt Fuyuko did not forget this; she appeared to rid herself of new ways of teaching, but it was a stubborn way to think. It may have been soon for the young Munetoshi to leave the Onmitsukido all that time ago to be aware that actions always have consequences.

She may have been another voice of reason to sway a small portion of people, but waiting for the right moment could have swayed even more. Now, she and Kinko are forced to take on a group of a mob that still yet sees their actions as suicidal. And like that, the Lt of the Second Division springs into action, activating his shikai. Thousands of shard particles illuminated the area with it's brightness. Suddenly, a dazzling flash of light caused everyone in the area to be blinded by Kinko's ability. Luckily, the Head Lieutenant caught on to what Kinko was about to do and shielded herself from what everyone else was bound to suffer from temporary blindness. Left and right, they groaned and cried.

"My eyes!"

"I can't see!"

Most struggled to regain what they lost, and some mob members rubbed their eyes to help. But no matter how hard they tried or cried to no avail, their eyesight had yet to return. Head Lt was ready to hold the line, confident in her ability to dismantle the attackers without the need for her zanpakuto; she began to glow, surrounding herself with her spiritual aura. She wouldn't allow any strays to try to make their move. Kinko resorted to using more binding spells of kido to bind the leader of this riot and everyone else, and his kido bound those who were hit with it to any nearby surfaces. They swoosh past their bodies, head, torso, legs, and arms. Most of them had been struck by rods or trees in the houses nearby, and they could not get free.

The leader himself was not hit with the same rod but rather another attempt of Rikujokoro by Kinko himself. He tried to run away, but he felt his body caught in the middle of fleeing the scene.

"What!?"

He shouted while realizing that six rods of light attached to his waistline had completely paralyzed him. He fought and struggled to break free but had no luck breaking free from Kinko's clutches of a bakudo spell. Some who were unharmed and unbound would try to come to the aid of their leader, but the rest would still be closing in on the Head Lt's direction. Despite her intimidating expression, they would be looking to strike her with their feeble weapons while confident they had the chance.
