Kasu Shinka

Building strength took time, it started with increasing the morality of her members. Rewarding their hard work, recognizing their faults but also their progression. At this moment she continues to do so, even as the young Senko enters. The guards of the door followed in order to stop him, but they were waved away by Captain Shinka. Eyes of stone, an emotionless expression, she stood as a true soldier would. The young man kneels and seemingly regret washes over him. This unfortunate sight is coupled by his words, hoping to appeal to his Captain.
“ Excuse me… Captain… I take full responsibility for my actions…”
Who else is more responsible than you, she thought. Who else could have made your choices, do as you have done. No one is in charge of your own devices other than yourself. Despite your lineage, and despite your position. All of what he has done is his own. No other person will pay for it. He continues…
“ It was my own ignorance that ultimately caused issues for the rest of the division... I admit that my failure to participate in the last mission was a grave mistake, but I humbly beg your forgiveness and allow me the chance for redemption. I am no longer afraid, and I give you my word that I will lay down my life in service to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I've allowed my foolishness to distract me from my duties for far too long. If it isn't too late and if you would allow me to retain my position, I'll do the best I can to prove myself? You won't regret it ya know.”
Forgiveness? In times of war, when a soldier is needed, when lives have been lost, Keniro had the audacity to ask her for forgiveness? Still but a child at heart, he did not understand the full amount of his actions. He may feel the weight of his decision, but that amounted to nothing in comparison to the families and soldiers that lost their lives. Kasu’s expression was unwavering. She did not seize with anger, or compassion as the young Senko had hoped. He is still met with the same expression that he had first approached.
If it is not apparent yet, it is apparent now. Her decision was made, and the orders had already been given. His fate as a member of Squad 13 is sealed, but within the depths of her feelings that have long been suppressed in her tenure as a Shinigami, she believes that this will hopefully be his chance to redeem himself in another’s eye. Only time will tell of his progression or his own demise.
Surely… that time has come.
Before Captain Shinka could respond to him, the air from behind her rippled and shifted. This unsettling feeling drove the hairs on her neck to rise. Not out of fear, but out of familiarity, it emanated the same as the rifts that once captured her. It was instinct, an occurrence of PTSD that had kickstarted her senses and reaction into super drive. Before Keniro could move himself, and before the ring of water could even form let alone connect Kasu’s form was no more. She appeared from the act of Shunpo near both Ren and Lieutenant Kuchiki
Kasu’s feet dragging across the pavement to a halt, her haori flailing behind her. Her hand moved immediately to draw her sword. An unsuspecting danger loomed, and what she perceived was not at all what she thought. A menacing presence, a garganta had manifested within the confines of the meeting hall. How? A question that couldn’t be answered nor be focused on. Her Zanpakuto changed immediately, her Shinka coming forth in the form of a brush. As it waved across the air outward, a line of paint followed in its wake and began to expand outward
“ Damn it! Move now!”
Realizing her body had moved involuntarily. Her voice rang out immediately to Keniro and others that were near his location. Keniro of course moved of his own will, flash stepping towards the training area. Of his own accord, the young Senko would begin to release his own Zanpakuto. Captain Shinka’s own well in the works. She could feel the rushing accumulation of spiritual power within the maw of the Espada. This sensation is akin to that of a Cero. Utilizing her Shikai , she created a wall that stood between her and her subordinates. A massive see-through structure that stood above the entirety of the 13th division and spread wide enough to conceal a massive group. The wall would prevent Keniro from engaging the foe and should he had forced his way he’d find that the entirety of the barrier was reinforced by her own spiritual power and kido.
“ Bakudo number 8, Seki!”
A blue light illuminates and expands across the entirety of the barrier, its brightening glow evident to the amount of power that is present from Kasu Shinka. Keniro would be repelled back with the same force he used to move forward should he continue his assault from his position, preventing him from rushing in and possibly dying as a result of his own injuries and this new found determination to prove himself. The Cero if continued, would find its impact against the barrier and the repulsion kido spell. While the beam would be redirected, the explosion remained close, sending shockwaves and tremors through the entirety of the barracks.
Through the smoke, left by the explosion in its wake the same barrier shatters like glass, and at the movement of her brush, each shattered piece transforms into a sharpened blade. Millions of them move at break-neck speeds towards the meeting hall. A red glow engulfed each one, and as they made contact with the immediate vicinity of the enemy and hopefully the enemy itself, miniature explosions would occur, leaving the meeting hall scorched and burned away by a devastating inferno. However, would this end?
“ Stand fast,” She commands!
