The sound of multiple arrows being released from well-carved short bows pierced wooden dummies on the opposite side of the archery training field. Both Quincy in training and eager, brave citizens of the empire wishing to serve under the empire to become soldat. The trainees refined their archery from the break of light all the way until sunset. On this bountiful day, Wolfgang watched over the recruits of the empire, molding them into soon-to-be masterful marksmen, but during training, the use of spirit weapons was prohibited even for those lucky few who wielded the power to form spirit bows already. He listened to the drawn bow strings' tensions, the subtle creaking of the wood bending as they aimed, and the rhythm of their heartbeats. Walking through the ranks, he casually helped fix the postures of the beginner archers as he passed by, then let the instructors further guide them, before crossing into a separate section where advanced archery was practiced using longbows. Despite the skill levels, they all trained the same, learning to breathe as one, and act as one single unit, only allowed to release their arrows when Wolfgang had sensed they all were synchronized. One of the advanced archers missed hitting directly in the center of the bullseye by a couple of centimeters, and his friend beside him mumbled softly in frustration, thinking that their instructor was far enough not to hear them.

“Man, this is stupid. Why does being off by a couple of inches matter so much?”
“You are telling me, and why can’t we use our spirit weapon instead of these ordinary bows?”

Wolfgang stopped his pacing, hearing the frustration of these two with very little escaping his ears, and could sense the auras of a few others growing frustrated. Raising his hand in the air, the instructors halted everyone and directed their attention to Wolfgang with concern as he approached the two Quincys who voiced their frustrations, albeit if they thought it was unnoticed.

“Stand in front of the target, will ya for me? I assure you no harm will come to you, and you feel free to bring out your spirit bow.”

He spoke calmly with a smile to the two trainees, and hesitantly, they did as told, thinking they were about to be made an example in front of the entire courtyard. The one requested with summoning out his spirit weapon channeled around his Quincy cross, forming an ordinary Heilig Bogen. Reluctantly, he drew his spirit bow with a Heilig Pfeil notched, aiming at his friend who stood a few inches away from the center of the wooden dummy before the instructor ordered him to fire. The spirit soared to its mark, but because the archer's nerves were running high with all eyes on him, his aim wasn’t perfect. The man standing by the target could tell the aim was off and was going to take out his eye or even kill it, but his body locked up in fear, causing him to hesitate, moving a few seconds too slowly out of the projectile's path. The entire archery squad held their breaths expecting a gruesome outcome, instead they saw Wolfgang seemingly teleported right beside the man with the spirit arrow grasped firmly in hand, a few inches from piercing the man's eye. Crushing the arrow in his hand in that same motion, he pulled an arrow out of the quiver, then launched it with precision at the one who fired, causing a blur to whoosh past his face, leaving a small hairline cut on the cheek before the thunderous crash of it shattering a hole in the stone wall behind them.

“Why does missing your target by a few inches matter? A few inches too late, stopping the arrow, your friend here is missing an eye, but more importantly, missing by even a margin determines if those you wish to protect live or die. We train with bows because it must become a reflex to instantly recall every aspect of the bow and arrow. Your spirit weapon is unique to you, but it's forged through your imagination and ability to recall every detail of what it is you wish to shape. We, Quincy, turned our righteous resolve into our weapons.”

Wolfgang held his hand out to summon his Heilig Bogen, but unlike the trainee’s ordinary bow, he created a spirit bow resembling two angel wings with beautiful, ornate designs. With a simple motion, he fired a single arrow into the sky before it exploded like a mini fireworks putting on a spectacle of a display. The two trainees came to realize they were made an example of not to be humiliated in front of others, but to inspire. They were not scolded for their frustrations, but instead were instilled with wisdom and insight to help them improve. They all bowed their heads toward Wolfgang with a brand new vigor in them to continue their training, although this time around, their auras burned with a beautiful resolve and determination. A hearty smile appeared on his face, seeing the excitement to train to their fullest in them as he left the area heading to a different segment of the training area where a small coliseum was stationed.

Meanwhile, within the walls of the coliseum soldat, who wished to become Jagdarmee were required to face The Trials of Purifying Light (Leiden von Läuterndes Licht). The first trials were simple one versus one match against another soldat with the winner getting to continue and the loser getting the option to try again next month. In the second trial, they were faced with overcoming different challenges of skill and intellect to prove they were strong enough to carry on. In the third, fourth, and fifth trial they were pitted against actual dangerous combatants of all willing participants who known Wolfgang trials as the Red Coliseum. For the soldat they had to fight these challengers with the stipulation of defeating them without killing them, and each trial consisted of three rounds against different challengers lasting 2 hours, and neither was allowed breaks once the trials began. The challengers themselves were made up of remnants of Arrancar who were loyal to Valiosa, still hoping to prove their worth to Adonai to be cleansed and join her side once again. Hollows captured by Quincy to educate their forces on what they were, and not to fear what they didn’t understand, often being referred to as lost souls from light. Lastly, were the more diverse, interesting lot consisting of those who outlived their use to Josef and survived, looking to jump into a nightmare they at least had control over. For the challengers, they had no restrictions on not killing; they just needed to survive the trial twenty times to earn their freedom, although it was serving the empire in some way. For those who wished to live, the trial became a beacon of light to them, and those who chose death were given it mercifully. Perched up on a ledge overlooking a fight between one of the soldat and a shinigami fighting their final combatant for freedom, coming out victorious. Energetically, Wolfgang jumped down, cheering the shinigami on as she kneeled in front of him.

“I give my life to the empire.”

Smiling big, he reached down, creating blue flames in the symbol of the Quincy cross and branding her palm. This was the mark that challengers who won their freedom and truly wished to join were bestowed. The female shinigami helped the soldat up off the ground, then they both turned to bow respectfully toward each other.

“Today we are no longer enemies, we are brethren.”

Wolfgang looked at the two with content before turning his nose into the air, sniffing.

“Oh, how glorious, I smell spaghetti!”

Ryker stood motionless in the heart of his personal office, surrounded by his contained works. The Sternritter's eyes were vacant of all color as he pulled on the invisible strings of a monstrosity in a realm beyond. The only sound hovering in the room was the subtle hum of machinery maintaining stasis on the floating figures held behind glass. That was until two separate sounds faintly graced the space, though their origin was not from within: the first, a sturdy clang against stone; the second, the sound of something with great mass descending upon that same surface.

It was then that Ryker reanimated, his body jittering as light restored to his irises. His lifeless expression contorted immediately into one filled with disgust.

"Maaaaan! Why the hell did they have to show up there and ruin my fun? I swear the boss man willed that into existence or somethin'."

The surgeon vocalized to no audience—well, at least none that drew breath. He turned to face the sole entry point of his inner sanctum, stepping towards it as its mechanisms gifted him an exit. As the vault door parted from the wall, there it was. The monster that had previously cursed the sands of Hueco Mundo sat idle in the ornate operating room. Its body locked in a kneel with its head bowed towards its master. Upon the ground just before the creature laid a present: the stolen weapon of Emillia. While it was not the spine requested by the Emperor, it was a consolation. It would serve as a twisted gateway into a newfound evolution.

Ryker approached the prostrating monster and locked his gaze upon his prize. He crouched down, smiling at the albino halberd before reaching for it with his left arm. As his fingers descended upon the armament, monochrome flames danced along the digits of the reaching limb. As his grasp curled around the weapon, those same flames quickly enveloped its shape. They burnt away the original owner's claim and installed a new name: Adonai.

With that tether severed and a new identity held, it was reshaped. The alabarda warped and bent in upon itself, its presentation reconfiguring to the will of Ryker. Once the process was completed, it appeared as nothing more than a sphere of monochrome colorization. At its center, the prominent gemstone lost its crimson hue and was instead dressed in azure.

"Huh. NOW THAT - IS - HOW - IT'S - DONE!"

The Sternritter celebrated his small victory for a split second but then abruptly presented the newly reforged spirit weapon back towards the monstrosity. The creature took the orb from its master and stood up immediately afterward.

"You know what to do big man."

And it would seem it did.

Just as quickly as those words breached the air, the monster proceeded to thrust the orb directly into its chest. The sounds of squelching flesh and organs briefly rang out as its innards rearranged and attached themselves to their new component. As per usual, there was no change of expression and no wincing from pain; it was as if nothing had happened to the creature. It removed the breaching hand from its own chest, and the wound closed up a moment later.

"Good good. You're gonna need a few more touch ups but we can do that later. Dismissed."

Without haste, the monster's shadow extended outward and enveloped it, rapturing it from the space once more. Solitude was Ryker's once more, and with it, he reached for his cross and established a connection to the Emperor.

"Your maje- Nah I can't do that. BOSS MAN! Bad news - couldn't snatch the spine. The ghost patrol showed up to the party without an invite. I blame you for that one by the way - you jinxed that for sure. That being said though... Managed to yoink her Zan. It's Team Quincy now. So needless to say an encore isn't looking to good on her. I'ma let the heat die down a bit before going for round two. In the meantime this is a huge learning opportunity. What say you?"

Ryker tapped his foot in wait for a response. It was unlikely Adonai would be against this judgment given the tricky intervention of the reapers, but it did mean a longer timeframe until the acquisition of the Soul King's part. There was also now at least some cause for alarm on both the Hollow and Shinigami fronts; something else was out there, but as to what, they were still ignorant.

[From: Northwest Wandenreich]

Outside of waving and saying hello to his fellow Quincy Adonai walked in relative silence. The brief conversation with “himself” put his mind in a bit of a spin. He was suddenly faced with the feeling of uncertainty in himself, his performance, and role as a leader. Things have been easy up until now, he has been ruling as a big fish in this small pond known as Lichtreich but he will be stepping out into the ocean of the Three Worlds soon amidst others who know them better than he does. He feels like maybe he and his people aren’t ready to make bold moves, that perhaps he will be over reaching with his mere existence. Then, what will the Quincy think of him? Their leader, fumbling around, unable to guide them through these new times, a fraud.
”You are a lion placating to the opinion of sheep when you are at the top of the food chain.”

The words of his other self echo in his mind again. The version of himself who can lead with confidence and ruthlessness. A side of himself that won’t hesitate to let others know who and what he is and kill them if they say or even think otherwise. He approaches Silbern, inhaling deeply as balance is restored to his fractured mind. The guards outside salute him, he waves and once he steps foot into Silbern, Adonai is whole once more. There is an incoming message and so he lifts his cross to listen to it, and it happens to be Ryker. To think he's done so fast is amazing to say the least, not that he had doubts but he expected more resistance from the opposition.

Adonai stops walking, it seems like there was resistance afterall, Shinigami of all things. He smacks his teeth, annoyed that they would get involved now of all times.
”Yep, my bad on the Shinigami part but I honestly didn’t think you’d run into them. They are spread out further than even I anticipated. But good job on taking her Zanpakuto at the very least, that is a huge chunk of her power gone. However, the Spine will be able to make up for what she has lost, still tread carefully on your next confrontation with her.”

While he is talking Valiosa runs up to him and gives him a quick wave, grins and runs off after Adonai returns the gesture.
”You’ll have some information on Shinigami anatomy headed your way from Josef, cross reference that information with what you have learned from Arrancar bodies and see if the two share any common weaknesses, if so it can be implemented against Emillia on your next fight. As far as I know Antonio is still running from the Rangers so we won't be able to do much against any Arrancar until contact is made with the Shinigami. Also, I’ll be holding a meeting soon with all the Sternritter so we can touch base on what will be happening next with us exposing our existence to the world. So that’ll be all for now.”

Adonai closes communication with Ryker then connects with the communication hub directly.
”Contact all Sternritter in the living world, tell them to return to Silbern immediately. Oh, let them know they aren’t in trouble since that would be a rather panic inducing order to receive. Also contact all Sternritter spread throughout Lichtreich and tell them to meet at Silbern at their earliest convenience.”

Once that message was sent out Adonai sighs to himself, things are moving along in a strange way, the Sinner got away with his Father’s spine thanks to Shinigami showing up. Given the fact that Ryker wasn’t able to obtain it means he must have sent one of his flesh golems, which is the best way Adonai can describe them, in his stead. A smart move, it keeps their presence a mystery just that much longer. But he knows that move won’t go unnoticed, the Shinigami are going to be poking their noses into what it was and how it arrived in Hueco Mundo. Adonai does know one thing for certain, he’ll be glad when his people’s business is done in that place. He isn’t entirely fond of having a secret occupation over a domain that is not his own, it can cause strife and concern amongst any other parties that he’ll have to barter with in the future.
”Hmm, The Rangers won't be able to partake in the meeting. But it should be fine with them as the vanguard, they were also tasked with initial contact. If anything else comes up in the meeting I’ll just have it relayed to them later.”
”Ah, you’ve returned sir.”

The older Quincy from before approaches Adonai and bows to him politely.
”Just the man I wanted to see! I’m going to be having a meeting with the Sternritter so, if you don’t mind, see to it that we have an assortment of coffee’s, tea’s, and other beverages and light snacks on standby for it. It’s going to be an important meeting so I want to keep people in high spirits!”

The older man sighs.
”As you wish, your Majesty”

He walks off to make the preparations and once he rounds a corner Adonai’s smile fades. All the Sternritter haven’t been gathered in one place, ever so he is hoping their many and varied personalities won’t clash too much. He chuckles and then walks down a hallway different from the one the older man took.
”I’m sure everyone will get along just fine.”

Cordelia had become a solitary creature in recent years, not that she wasn’t already one. As she ascended the steps toward Silbern, she kept her head down and her steps feather light, hoping to avoid drawing attention to herself. She had however taken a moment to change out of the attire she had been wearing during her time in Karakura, for it was hardly appropriate to wear before their Emperor.

Her skirts billowed around her legs with each tentative step as her fingers took up her nervous habit once more. They quickly found the glass pendulum filled with hair that now dangled from her earring rather than a choker.

Is she still alive? Does she ever think of me or was I just a fleeting moment in time for her?

As Cordelia stepped over the threshold, consumed by her thoughts, she was surprised to find herself, completely and utterly alone. She’d at least expected the Elbecks to already be in attendance but she supposed maybe they had gotten held up. The thought that she was just early danced through her mind.

She could take a moment to go see what Ryker was up to, but something dark writhed in her gut, warning her to avoid him. She didn't know why but she thought it best not to question her own intuition.

Instead of wandering or making herself someone else’s problem, Cordelia decided to just lean against a nearby wall and wait. Her mind wandered to memories of sand beneath her feet and the comfort of a lone companion. As her eyes fluttered closed for the briefest of moments, the sensation of silky soft hair slipping between her fingertips washed over her.

A whispered sound slipped from her lips as they pulled into a sneer. She hated this. She hated being haunted by memories that she could never experience again. Perhaps it was time for the kraken to find a new companion but would they truly fill the void left in her soul or would they be nothing more than a pale imitation of what she still yearned for? She chastised herself, her voice barely carrying through the room.

”This is hardly the time to think about that, Cordelia.”

Adonai arrives in the meeting room where he plans to brief his Sternritter on the latest news and the plans moving forward. The older quincy he spoke to early followed through on stocking the meeting room with snacks and various drinks, hoping all will find something they enjoy, though there are no alcoholic drinks. This meeting room was constructed by the false Emperor centuries ago but has since been reconstructed. The main difference being that there is no throne in this room for Adonai and that all the Sternritter have seats of their own they can take. Before the remodeling there was a single throne and the Sternritter were forced to stand. Adonai may be an Emperor but he is humble, even his chair at the head of the table is the same as all the others. He needs no crown nor throne to exude who he is, material things like that are meaningless to him. His birthright alone tells all who and what he is without further indication. He glances over to see Cordelia leaning against a wall in the meeting room.
”Hey there! I didn’t think of organizing a prize for the first person who arrived haha! Please, help yourself to some snacks and drinks. The meeting might be a tad bit informal but I want everyone to be relaxed especially since a lot of the Sternritter have never met each other before.”

After a rather joyful greeting his smile faded a bit when he saw her mind was occupied by something. Not wanting to pry or be rude by continuing to bother her he chuckled awkwardly before speaking again.
”Hope I didn’t disturb your thoughts. Carry on.”

As he went to gather his own snacks a set of Five footsteps are heard coming down the long hall leading to the meeting room. Looking up to see who it was, Adonai is greeted with a pleasant surprise, The Rangers have returned from their excursion to the Living World. Yellow and Blue kneel while Red and green politely bow, meanwhile Pink gives a simple nod to him. Within the Rangers alone the spectrum of how Adonai is revered is on full display and all forms of it are allowed under his rule.
”Soooo, how’d it go?”

Adonai asks while unwrapping a treat for himself, he then gestures to the carts of snacks. Pink wastes no time strolling over to treat herself. It took Blue a moment but eventually he stood up and went to grab himself a beverage.
”The meetin, as you wanted it, will be held in Ten Days in Naruki City. We exchanged all the information that we were allowed to exchange and even showed em a few things like our Spirit Weapons and how we travel between worlds.”
”Perfect! What of Antonio? Since you are glossing over him I assume he has been dealt with?”
”Yes, Antonio is no more, although it was a rather… upsettin death.”
”How so?”

Green speaks up next.
”He began crying and said that he wanted to see his sister again. It put most of us in a bit of a downer mood.”

Adonai stands silently for a moment, then looks to the Rangers individually.
”Then accept my apology for putting you through that. Had I known that they had the capacity to be sentimental I would have ordered his capture rather than his execution. I shall remember that moving forward. We are all still learning together. Now, what did you make of the Shinigami?”

The Rangers defer to Yellow for his analytical observation of the Shinigami they spoke with.
”The Shinigami are, to put bluntly, quite crude in terms of how they speak and behave. We met with the Captain of Tenth Division, his name is Jushiro Izanagi, and his subordinate who did not bear the Lieutenant badge, perhaps a seated member. His name is Seimei Ukitake. The Captain has a very unprofessional way of speaking, similar to Blue over there, constant crude comments and suggestive innuendo were used during the course of the exchange. Much like his physical state he was masking himself, poking and prodding to see what makes us tick. It worked on Pink but… Yeah, that way of speaking was liable to work on her regardless.”
”Don’t talk like I’m not here. It was aggravating listening to him speak after a while, everyone here but Blue can’t tolerate that sort of conversation for long.”

Blue points to himself and all the rangers in unison just say ”We know you’re here.”
”That aside, Seimei painted a clearer picture of the Shinigami consciousness, which is that of violence. He kept his hand on his blade and was ready to attack at a moment's notice despite none of us showing any form of hostility to them. I suspect the Captain was of the same mind but masked it with his crude way of speaking. I’ve come to the conclusion, based on this interaction, that the Shinigami are hostile by nature and we should proceed with caution during the next meeting.”

Silence from Adonai as he stares off into the distance past the Rangers. They look in the direction he is staring and only see a blank wall. They look back at him.
”Sir?”

The mention of Shinigami being hostile by nature makes him relive his own trauma he experienced at their hands. The Royal palace being raided, guards and soldiers being cut down, while he did not see any of it he sensed it and heard it all. Then, luckily not before his eyes, his father was divided by them while he was ushered off and hidden away by an aide.
”Your Majesty? Is everything alright?”
”Huh? Oh, yes, everything is fine. Yes, while the Shinigami may seem hostile it is for good reason. We are unknowns in their eyes, they have no idea who or what we are and-”
”Might I offer a counter argument, your majesty? If you were to meet someone random on the street you have never met before and they offered a ‘Hello how ya doin?’ would you immediately be put on edge, ready to fight em?”
”Yes.”
”Not you.”

Adonai thinks quietly for a moment although he does not offer a direct answer to the question, if the question was the kind that needed an answer in the first place.
”I understand what you mean. I’m still striving for peace with them despite that. I am hoping that not all of them are so gungho on wanting to cut down someone or something the first time they meet it along with not all of them speaking in such a crude manner.”

The Rangers nodded with Yellow and Pink being doubtful that the other Shinigami are any different, but they put faith in Adonai’s judgement. This isn’t blind faith because they know if his judgement were to fail then only his wrath would be left.
”Anything else to report?”
”Nothin of note. The Captain we spoke with had a particular interest in the pink haired Arrancar, seems like he has a score to settle with her. However we told em that another one of our Sternritter was dealin with her and have no idea on the status of that.”
”I see, well Ryker managed to take her Zanpakuto but couldn’t execute her due to Shinigami interference. He’ll tell us more at the meeting. Speaking of which, will all five of you be joining us? I’m sure the other Sternritter would love to meet the whole team.”
”Pass.”
”I’d much like some isolation after dealing with the Shinigami, my nerves are a bit shot haha.”
”I’d like to go over everything I’ve learned about their mannerisms, it’ll be useful information later on.”
”I’d like to hit up the stores to see if they have the chips me and Green were talkin about in stock.”
”Good luck Blue!!”

The Rangers spoke in unison as they all filed out of the room, waving. Blue took a stance that made his body language scream “Huh?!?!” as he was forced to stay behind due to the others voicing their desire to do other things. Adonai could only laugh as he walked toward the head of the table, dumping a pile of snacks onto it with three different drinks being set beside the pile. He then takes his seat.
”Sorry, Blue, but I need at least one of you five here. Don’t worry it wont be so bad.”

Blue takes his seat and begins writing down the report. Due to him being mute he has to write things out but once it is finished he will pass it over to Adonai to read and luckily Blue has rather nice handwriting. With that Adonai now awaits the arrival of the other Sternritter.

Also, I’ll be holding a meeting soon with all the Sternritter so we can touch base on what will be happening next with us exposing our existence to the world. So that’ll be all for now.”

In the time leading up to the requested all-hands meeting, Ryker occupied his time with analyzing the information relayed to him by his peer. The anatomical references of Shinigami biology aligned with some theories that already lingered in the surgeon's mind, though without a proper sample he never could make any meaningful advancements on it. The acknowledgment of these particular vulnerabilities painted a smile on Ryker's face, not because of some inlaid intent but instead coming from a sense of irony. Such strong beings that enforce a balance among the three realms, and yet they can be brought to a heel by two well-placed attacks.
"For 'Gods of Death' they have such a simple weakness." The Sternritter spoke to his vacant space, airing thoughts to the sterile air of his workplace. His body turned to a pillar within the room, his mind visualizing an idle figure in its place. His hands mimed the gestures that coincide with the usage of a bow, acting out the swift dispatchment of a soul. "The boss wants peace and I won't shake the nest... but maaaaan are we going to be ready should they cross the line."

The newly present details of the Chains of Fate and their sub-components were a fresh addition but by no means his first observation. Ryker dwelled primarily in the World of the Living, filling his time working among humans and aiding in the recovery of complex ailments. He made a name for himself, but being a surgeon for the living wasn't all he did in his time. A simple trip to a local cafe, conveniently near the union of spiritual bodies—a snack and a show. A rooftop skygazing session—he watched those draped in black. The absent-minded conversation of reapers on the ground passed by Ryker with no apparent reaction to their presence. He was always observing. He knew of certain procedures they followed in the World of the Living, actions in Hueco Mundo, and even of inconsistencies in power among their ranks.

Ryker couldn't help himself but to place himself within observable distance, maintaining the guise of just another heartbeat in a sea of many. Often he'd return to the Wandenreich with a newly forged conviction, analyzing the habits of the other races under the microscope. He always wanted to know more, especially when it came to the distinctions between their make-up and abilities. Contrary to his leader, who had a more personal connection to the Shinigami, Ryker's involvement came from curiosity. Everything that motivated him was done as an expression of study and innovation. He did not hold any malice towards the Hollows or the Shinigami; they were just a means to his understanding. Adonai gave him autonomy and power, both of which were tools to enact his will and find greater meaning beyond creation. An admiration for the history of the Quincy maintained his loyalty, especially given the role Adnyeus had in it all.

His value in it all was weighed in his perspective. He could not give a fuck about the interpersonal matters of any of the factions, the emotional connections, or any lofty ideals.

Ryker's analysis went on for some time, cross-referencing details from the decades-old assault on Las Noches, his recent encounter with Emillia, and the fruit of Josef's efforts. He would draw up anatomical frameworks and even write up some supporting documents on the findings in a more clinical format. Theories swirled in his head that could be further pressed over the coming days. Assuming that deliberations went the way the Emperor aimed, a portion of it all would never need to see the light of day. Yet given the potentiality of hostility from the Shinigami, it was likely a time would come when facts and ideas would need to be dusted off.

Some time later...

The time had come for the Sternritter to convene; gathering together was a rare event. There was rarely a need for all to be in attendance, given their anonymous status to the other forces acting in the realms. A simple text here, a conversation among a few, or hell, even a note on a door were often more than enough to communicate among each other. Yet with the hunting of Emillia and the first contact of the Rangers, new territory was being trekked. The river flowed for Adonai's ambitions, but not without potential rigidity.

Ryker was quite a bit excited by this conference—not that it took much to achieve that, yet the coupling of unlikely occurrences made it all the more appealing. In the span of mere hours, he got to hunt, he got to study, and now he got to see all the letters in one space. The only thing that could make this better was...
"SNACKS?!"

The surgeon's exclamation announced his arrival to the meeting room. The doors parted and with little to no hesitation that singular word cracked through the ambient calm.
"I thought this was just gonna be a yap session but you went and stocked - this - place - UP! A little palatte cleanser after rocking that meat suit." Ryker continued while literally shimmying his way over towards the accommodations. "It's always like I'm there and I'm not when I use one of those things, leaves a weird stale taste in mouth."

Fixated on the spread, he gathered together a little bit of everything before finding himself a seat. As the other Sternritter would make themselves known, he'd be there, tearing through his haul with a fierceness. He often honestly forgot to eat during important times, caught up in the work or play of a moment. The nurses of the hospital he worked at half the time had to act like doting parents, reminding him to take breaks or even outright bringing him food themselves. This scheduled break between his work shined light on his lingering hunger, and the means to solve it were present. He truly could not stop winning today and he'd be lying if he didn't feel quite high from it all.
