Valiosa had received a huge boon during the past year and a half in the form of new Arrancar who were strong enough to accept her gifts and stand at her side against Soul Society. However, because of this she had to make use of both eyes more frequently than she ever had to before. It was draining her, mentally as she became more paranoid everytime they were both socketed in her head. Even though she had the power to see and alter the future itself she always looked around as if someone or something was watching her. This behavior became more apparent when the most recent Espada joined their ranks where she broke out into a full sprint as if running away from something. Not even Antonio, who plays host to the Left Eye of the Soul King, could understand why she was behaving this way. Whenever he took the Left Eye he never saw anything that was out of the norm, but also, when Valiosa removed the eye her behavior would settle down, almost relieved to be free from it. She eventually went comatose after the recent usage of both eyes and Antonio has stayed by her side ever since, playing the role of a personal guard against the new host of Espada whom he doesn’t entirely trust. Any trust he had gained towards Kuvello began to erode away as more Arrancar joined.

The Plot

Aside from the Espada there is also a small army of Arrancar being created which is why Hueco Mundo has grown so silent. Gillian and Adjucha are being turned into Arrancar to fuel this army which will be the foot soldiers that will be led by the Espada. Valiosa has been fine tuning the plan of attack between her panic attacks, sending smaller inconspicuous Hollows to the Soul Society to not exactly spy on the Shinigami but to understand the layout of the Seiretei itself. This helps her plan even more, however she doesn’t understand the importance of anything being reported back to her. She has no clue who, what or where Central Forty-Six is, what Division is in charge of what, etc. What she does know is what Divisions have Captains and those will be the ones attacked first. Her plan is coming together nicely but she needs a few more things first, things that can only be found in the Human World. The Soul King parts she has collected were stripped from Humans who exhibited strange powers unrelated to the parts they were in possession of. It was as if the Soul King fragment granted the human a power they desired based on their psyche. It is how she first obtained the eyes, by slaying two twins who did not have much strength or understanding of their Fullbring to defend themselves. From there the harvesting began.

Valiosa has failed to find The Right Arm of the Soul King and cannot even see it even if she uses both eyes, only seeing complete darkness. Regardless of this the harvesting has yet to stop as there exist things like nails, and perhaps even teeth, although these don’t amount to much of a power boost, though they could maybe have other uses. A strange sense of greed has crept its way into Valiosa’s mind, an urge and yearning to collect more and more fragments even though her collection has everything it needs to make the Espada powerful. She can’t acknowledge it herself but Antonio can see it, the fact she keeps torturing herself with the eyes to enhance these Arrancar. It’s a sickness not fueled by revenge for Esmerelda but for something else that he cannot see or understand and this time it has nothing to do with his dull nature.

”Rebels are meaningless b-because they can’t t-touch us…”

Eerie Arrival

Out of thin air Antonio is in the meeting room with the other Espada and surprisingly Valiosa is not with him. He looks around at the Espada with obvious untrusting eyes, too dull to hide his emotions as they are written all on his face. The ever-light steps of Valiosa are heard approaching from the main entry way into the room, Antonio had moved ahead of her out of a sense of security to ensure these Espada weren’t being too rowdy. Since his battle with Estarossa he has gotten quite a big head about himself and about the usage of the Left Eye. Though one thing he has failed to disclose to anyone is that his healing factor had taken extreme damage due to whatever concoction of a Cero Estarossa shot at him, even with the Left Eye all he can do at most is stop the bleeding of a wound but it will remain open. Valiosa enters the room, her hands behind her back and a cheerful smile on her face.

”Don’t be so apprehensive, Antonio, they are our friends and friends trust each other.”

She looks around at the gathered Espada and puts on an even warmer smile, a sense of excitement and pride filling her very being as she feels like she may be able to avenge the death of Esmerelda.

”I don’t mean to keep you for long since it seems like you’re having your own meeting, but I have some marching orders. I would like for you to venture to the Human world and kill any human with spiritual pressure. The gifts I’ve given you were all found hidden inside of humans who were completely unaware of what it was they had hidden inside them. I found the eyes by mistake because of this, and I managed to sense out the other parts with them. You should be able to do the same. I would say be careful but at our current level we have nothing to fear from silly little humans with powers. I would like for you to move out at your earliest convenience, search Karakura and Naruki for the parts. This is the final bit of preparation needed for our attack on Soul Society so please do hurry. Now, I’ll let you get back to your meeting.”

The girl takes a bow and turns on her heels to exit the room, Antonio stays behind, watching the Espada a bit longer before vanishing right before their eyes. Not even the sound of Sonido could be heard meaning he used other means to vanish from their sight. He reappears by Valiosa’s side who is casually striding down the hall.

”W-why do we n-need more g-gifts? A-all that's left out th-there are sc-scraps…”

Valiosa nods her head and looks up cheerfully at Antonio.

”Because a Shinigami woman who also had the presence of a Hollow told me that powerful tools can be made using the scraps.”

”A-and you tr-trusted a shi-shin-shinigami?”

Valiosa looks away and laughs lightly at the question because it does indeed sound ridiculous for her to trust a Shinigami, the same sort of being who slayed Esmerelda.

”Well, she is more than just a Shinigami, while she did not give me her name she gave me her title. The Mother of Vizards. And she showed me the most beautiful thing, her ability to turn into a hybrid of Shinigami and Hollow. So we struck a deal, she and her cohort shall defend Hueco Mundo while we are away invading Soul Society and in return I give her the ‘scraps’ as you called them. She aims to use them with some other tool she has, and with her help we can probably get Esmerelda back.”

Antonio stops, jaw dropped by what he just heard, even though he thinks it's too much to believe. However Valiosa is the smartest person he knows, she orchestrated all of this herself so the thought of someone outsmarting her is near impossible. But the thought and possibility of reviving their dead God Queen is too good to pass up. And with everything they have done to get her back, maybe Esmerelda would grant them real Espada ranks. For Antonio and Valiosa the Espada ranks they currently have don’t mean much because they do not view themselves as the same sort of being Esmerelda was, so they feel as if they do not have the right to raise real Espada, hence why their numbers are based on the order of their arrival rather than power. Once the shock wears off Antonio catches up to Valiosa, wanting her to speak more about this Mother of Vizards.

Soon after landing with no grace at the bottom of the steps from their hastened arrival to the meeting chambers, there was a swift strike to her head from the ungrateful Kuvello. In her mindset, she didn't understand what he threw a huff about since saved him the time and effort to get down the steps much more efficiently. She even made sure he landed safely and was placed back onto his feet. Ximena made her way to the throne rubbing the lump on her head with a grumble about how he didn't appreciate good help.

Once things started to begin though with her complaint about the lack of snacks noted she managed to settle in. She lightly ran his finger along the under-chin of the centipede when Kuvello took his position getting the meeting called for underway. Most of what Kuvello had to say seemed to vibe well with her but there was one part that brought about a lot of confusion. Before she chimed up about her question the loner arrancar that had joined them normally keeping themself isolated began to speak. While her plan seemed very well thought out unfortunately for Ximena she considered it a long plan scheme that would have taken up too much time to earn trust infiltrate these rebellious factions and sow the seed of betrayal. She kind of zoned out a little with the long-winded strategy cooked up being discussed with her gaze drifting toward Grimelo. She soon began to wonder if hollow fleas were a thing because they have souls and hearts. So do they have little small soul chains that can enter into encroachment as well? Do fleas have their special soul society? These were all things now she pondered about up until the Arrancar known as Antonio made his creepy appearance in the meeting chamber.

Something about Antonio always gave her some offputting vibe that she could never put her finger on quite exactly. When it came down to it she rather dealt with Kuvello or Valiosa. The uneasy feeling only seemed to grow with his aura giving off one of distrust easily picked up from him which was normal for all of them, but in his case, it seemed way more than warranted. Her attention suddenly shifted toward the newcomer presence who entered the room next sitting up more seeing how this meeting started to get a bit more interesting. Since she joined the ranks of the Espada and received her gift, there wasn't much interaction with Valiosa which seemed to be an ongoing case with the other Espada. The one she interacted with the most was Kuvello who played a vital role in her joining. Listening to what Valiosa came in to share with them her interest became truly peaked.

"So these fragments of the Soul King that we all have added into all of us came from humans with special powers? Wait wait so do we just rip them or is this something we need to handle with care?"

Soon after the two who just disappeared as they had appeared, Ximena stood up to leave the meeting table thinking it had finished and that was all part of it. It took her a small second to realize that nobody else got up too before rubbing the back of her head and sitting back down. Then it suddenly hit her remembering what she wanted to bring up before everything went down.

"What the fuck is wrong with the orgy place?!! They even had snacks there so what do you have against orgies and snacks Kuvello?! And secondly. that entire plan about infiltrating and sabotaging is way too long and tiring. They are hollow just like us we simply crush their leader and they will submit to the strongest. It's a primitive mindset but still one that many out there tend to follow."

The gaze that he received from Emillia was enough to warrant a Cero through the center of her forehead. If she weren't a trusted member of the Espada under Valiosa, he'd have quashed her live right then and there, after all, he had killed for less. Though as a gesture of kindness, he allowed her to speak her truth, in what she deemed to be solid logic and advice. However, she would not receive the ears of anyone within the meeting, as her plans were drenched in incoherency, in terms of a strategic front.

As Emillia finished speaking, the Primera's gaze would belie his seething rage, as he looked upon her, his fists balled tightly into a fist behind his back, the sound of all of his knuckles popping at once would be followed by a twitch in his neck as he slowly approached Emilia in her seat.

"Seems as though you're as ignorant as you are insufferable. Perhaps if we had given you a brain, rather than a spine, you could've thought of a better way to approach your obvious distrust and re-word your statement to make yourself appear less traitorous and blasphemous to the cause, but alas I cannot blame you for having the *reflexes* to speak your mind, even if your logic is riddled with folly delusions..."

His hand would motion toward Emillia, however he would find himself reeling backward as it seemed the four Espada were no longer alone, as he felt before seeing the manifestation of Antonio as he entered the room, only to be followed by Valiosa. Kuvello would snap to attention as she began to speak, clearly her due punishment over the course of the development of Las Noches had made him out to be quite loyal, like that of a military dog.

The Primera's Emerald green orbs would float toward Emillia as Valiosa spoke of friends working together, a rather convenient topic of affairs given the situation. The distrust in Antonio's Reiatsu would become apparent as the two shared a look amongst one another in silence before he too turns to follow Valiosa after she gave an order to precure some humans in the World of the Living. Standing in place for a moment longer, until he felt Superiora was no-longer within earshot, he'd look to Emillia, then to Grimaldi who seemed to be in a bit of a daze, and then to Ximena as she began to ramble about fragments and the more "notorious events" that occurred within La Soberanía. To which he would just shake his head as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Clearly the individuals here were sought out for their tenacity and strength, and not for their intellect. Clearly Valiosa had a type, but then again such individuals as simpletons are most easier to manipulate.

Kuvello would tap the very air before him, as a rift in the fabric of space-time began to part, as a Garganta was fabricated before the members of the meeting room.

"Well, perhaps would be a great time to cut to the chase. I wish to test you all in the art of combat, perhaps knocking you around will air out the fog that seems to cloud your minds, and the excitement will free up your boredom."

A knowing glance would shift toward both Emillia as Grimaldi as he spoke.

"
Grimaldi-Uzziel Ortiz.
Ximena Camaxtli.
Emillia Laurena Kastile.
I want you to show me what makes each of you a worthy candidate of not only being highly ranked Numero is Valiosa's Arrancar Army, but of possessing the fragments. The rules are simple, you may call upon the fragment you possess, as well as your innate powers, however the releasing of your Zanpakuto is strictly forbidden. Your objective is to defeat your sparring partner, and ultimately survive."

Walking into the other side of the Garganta, Kuvello would continue leading the three into the eternal night of Hueco Mundo. Their exact location was not disclosed, however the towers of Las Noches would not be seen by the naked eye. Without a moment of hesitation, the Primera would bisect his right arm, causing the appendage to fall and writhe to the ground as a body began to birth from the swelling of the limb, giving way to a carbon copy of the Espada, as he performed the same action two more times, as a visage of Kuvello stood at attention awaiting orders from the original, as well as to intercept any oncoming attacks should either of them begin to assault without the directive being given.

"You may find yourself wondering 'what's in it for me?' To answer your question: You may have the privilege of devouring the defeated opponent, as I'm sure your taste for hunger yearns despite becoming Arrancar. If this doesn't bode well with you, then perhaps the only alternative is for you to die, and thus in doing so proves me right."

A glimmer of a smirk would cross his lips as he closed his eyes, his presence seemingly fading as it was revealed that the visage of Kuvello that spoke to them was simply an after-image clone.

in her excitement over her little speech, she had caught the Primera's ire—the not-so-subtle hand movements, the sound of bones popping, a small twitch in the neck. All of this was comforting to Emillia, knowing he was so easily riled. The thought caused a small smirk to form underneath her mask, that was until she felt a presence that made her turn her head to look at the two new arrivals. Antonio and Valiosa had arrived.

What the two—or rather, one—spoke of certainly caught her interest: more gifts that would further boost the Espada and help those Números ascend to become Espada. While she had entertained the thought of finding and keeping the gifts for herself, there were two reasons why she wouldn’t. First, she didn’t want a target painted on her back. Though having to fend off and fight the other Espada would be interesting to experience, it wasn’t something she desired. The second reason was simple—she wanted to strengthen Hueco Mundo as a whole.

Her eyes turned toward the Tres, who questioned the origins of the gifts they were given, as well as their fragility.

“I doubt they’re that fragile, though obliteration might not be advised Tres”

She had kept herself back in her chair as the Tres began to speak her nonsense. Tuning out their voice, she remained uncaring of what was being said; it was boring enough that it started to sound like tinnitus to her. It seemed to drag on until the Primera spoke the names of everyone in the room, causing her to snap out of her daze. She turned her attention towards the Primera, and once he finished talking about the rules, she stood up and gripped the Zanpakutō on the back of her chair, lifting it as she made her way toward the Garganta.

She watched closely as the Espada quickly extended his arm to create a copy of himself, followed by two more clones. Now, this was going to brighten her night no matter what. She had pondered the abilities of the others, and now she was about to find out what they were capable of—whether through sight or sensing. Either way, she knew she had to finish the clone off quickly.

In the moment the Primera disappeared, she too vanished from sight, only to reappear high in the sky. Zanpakutō in hand, her pesquisa field expanded outward before her reiatsu burst outwards, her eyes glowing with excitement. Her hand gripped the pole of her Zanpakutō so tightly that, had it not been made from her, it would have snapped in two. What was this feeling surging through her? Anxiety? Excitement? Who knows? All she knew was that this fight was going to be the best she had in a long time.

“Come to me, show me that anger you had for me earlier.”

For the most part, Grimaldi was zoning out, he listened to the others talk but was mostly falling asleep. He sat in his chair, arms folded over his chest. Thinking to himself that if all they wanted him to do was go to the living world and kill humans he could have been doing so months ago.

Just as the half-meeting was coming to an end, Grimaldi was about to head back up to his tower and continue lazing around. Kuvello stood up before Grimaldi could make his timely exit.

"Well, perhaps would be a great time to cut to the chase. I wish to test you all in the art of combat, perhaps knocking you around will air out the fog that seems to cloud your minds, and the excitement will free up your boredom."

Grimaldi's hand went to his chin as a wicked smile started to crease his mask line.

"Grimaldi-Uzziel Ortiz.
Ximena Camaxtli.
Emillia Laurena Kastile.
I want you to show me what makes each of you a worthy candidate of not only being highly ranked Numero is Valiosa's Arrancar Army, but of possessing the fragments. The rules are simple, you may call upon the fragment you possess, as well as your innate powers, however, the releasing of your Zanpakuto is strictly forbidden. Your objective is to defeat your sparring partner, and ultimately survive."

Standing from the chair, Grimaldi walks towards the Garganta following the others into the night of the desert. Grimaldi would be off to the left of the other Espada, watching as Kuvello cloned himself several times equal to the number of Espada before himself. Grimaldi would set his arms at his sides and smile while the 'real' Kuvello started to fade, dispersing into an afterimage.

Grimaldi's eyes flicked to the right as Kuvello faded away, the one known as Emillia would fade as well. Emillia's form appears in the air high up. Grimaldi's smirk turned to a bark-like laugh as he howled into the night sky.

" Might wanna stay far away from me, Not my fault if you get caught up in this. "

A dilation? A glitch in reality? There was no warm-up or over-expensive way to describe Grimaldi's Reiatsu. It was not there, and then it simply was. A radius around Grimaldi that overtook the others by twenty feet would suddenly feel like the gravitational pull shifted on an axis towards Grimaldi. An all-consuming hunger that beckoned anything to enter his domain, feral green spiritual pressure physically lashed out with black tendrils warping into a three-headed cowl. The Cerberus of las noches was awakened in the sands this night.

f8e37c1a49c14b9adcf071a508a00038.png

The sands beneath the Kuvello clones started to shift towards Grimaldi, yet all this was just the effect of being in his presence, the real threat came from his outstretched hand. Grimaldi's thumb slices his nail across the palm as the blood fuses with his cero, aimed not at one Kuvello, but all three.

Sound suddenly shifts from the sound of wind scratching the sands towards Grimaldi's central point, to the sudden eerie worble of time distorting as Grimaldi's neon green and black Gran Rey Cero compresses and decompresses towards all three clones of Kuvello.

The speed and power of this cero were amplified by the Soul King's Chain. The power of this attack would feel all-consuming and dire for any that had no plan of escaping or deflecting it. Grimaldi was often never allowed to use attacks like this near any livable areas in Hueco Mundo. out here, where the eye can't even find a single granite tree, it was safe for Grimaldi to unleash his full power. The destructive power of the cero would sear the sands it came in contact with adding shards of molten sands streaking through the winds of the blast.

The meeting continued to go on a little longer after the two people who gave them a special assignment left to their own devices or whatever they had planned to do after dropping that information off. Ximena continued to idly tap her finger with each consecutive tap causing hairline cracks to splinter out from the point of contact. There was no real way for them to track time since Hueco Mundo was in a constant state of a nighttime cycle so on exactly how much time passed since the meeting started eluded her. She was always one who favored actions over words but also equally understood the importance of planning among other things. She took in what Emilia had spoken about the question she opposed about the Soul King fragments spoken for them to collect. Although, similar to the other Espada sat at the table the meeting seemed to become livelier when Kuvello started to talk about wanting to test each of their strengths with a certain rule of not releasing their Zanpakuto. None of this seemed to bother her as she followed calmly behind them coming in last through the Garganta opened up by Kuvello taking in the information of their surroundings and observing firsthand his ability to duplicate himself. She had always seen some of his copies walking around on occasion or interacted with them, but this happened to be the first time witnessed the creation of them. The other two of them wasted no time jumping into the fray of action although, the one they expected to be the most eager to make a move wasn't as Ximena put some distance between them and sat down in the sand.

With Emilia rushing to get the jump on one of the clones from an aerial attack, Grimaldi opted for another approach wasting no time to go straight into releasing our extremely potent gran rey cero. While Ximena always came out very brash and straightforward in her approach to things strangely enough in the moment of combat, she seemed to become an entirely different person from those who knew her. Sitting there she took in all the information about the combatants, environment, their decision making, reaction speed, and approach to dispatching their targets even down to the smallest of details most would not pay attention to like how strongly the sand got scattered from the release of their reiatsu and powers. When it came to fighting Ximena had trained her natural battle instincts to the utmost degree only inhaling in deep breaths which looked to the others, she was taking things easy. However, her calm and relaxed demeanor is what made the next set of actions even more destructive and precise with nothing she did from the moment she entered the Garganta into this new location all with purpose wasting no action. Her eyes flickered rapidly examining the movements even knowing the general location where Kuvello vanished by the way the sand shifted slightly more to one direction, but more importantly, she studied the clone's behaviorism. They all seemed to be of equal power and speed upon creation which meant by studying all three of them the amount of information she could learn about her opponent was greatly sped up. When the gran rey cero reached fired by Grimaldi finally closed into the three clones and by inclusion risking Emilia in the crossfire who leaped into action right before his cero was fired is the moment Ximena no longer remained idle.

"Got ya"

Those were the only words spoken as the sands Ximena stood on erupted into pillars from the sheer force of her high-speed movement, creating a miniature sonic boom. Because of her natural adaptability, it didn't take long for her to adjust to the lungs implanted into her body. It utilized the most basic function of it to enhance her skills even further which she didn't think was possible with this gift. In any other person, the most powerful functionality of this Soul King organ would be its ability to bring things to life with the breath, but in Ximena's hands, it's the increased lung compacity it granted. The most important and key thing in all forms of martial arts and any form of fighting is breath control which she had mastered. Those deep breaths she took in allowed her to circulate a rich amount of oxygen throughout her body only achievable thanks to the Soul King's lungs, and lowering the center of gravity while relaxing her body allowed her to focus all her strength into one single focus at that instant to react within seconds using the smallest conserved bodily movements. Knowing that as impressive and powerful Grimaldi's gran rey cero was this did not kill these clones so easily but if they managed to get out unscathed that would have been an even more impressive feat to take notice of. Targeting one of the clones she observed intently its body language when the clone made its movement to dodge out of the way from attack to cut its path abruptly. The clone suddenly found Ximena in its face within the blink of an eye with her fist already shredding its path to deliver an overwhelming punch directly into its chest as she exhaled increasing the explosive power even further with a feint shimmer of energy. She didn't hold anything back seeing this was a clone so if the strike managed to land upon her designated target her first would cleave straight through its chest and shatter bones while sending it flying crashing into the sands tumbling through them uncontrollably miles away. Even if the clone happened to react fast just a scathe from her fist be like getting cut by a blade, and the tremendous shockwave generated from her titanic strength cause a violent tidal wave of sand to get expelled into the single direction of her fist creating a temporarily sandstorm in the area around all of them.

Much to Kuvello's own expectations, the group would would not hesitate in the call to arms, as both the Segunda and Quatro respectively took to move against the clones he had formed. Watching from a distance, the Primera Espada would feel the disturbances in the air as one by one each Espada allowed their Reiatsu to flow freely from their bodies. The sensations of each wave of reiatsu that crossed over his being seemed to generate goosebumps across his skin. Though it was not fear he was experiencing, but rather excitement as he closed his eyes, allowing his pesquisa to extend well beyond him, allowing him to keep tabs on his surroundings as well as concentrate on the battle that was taking place kilometers away.

"Seems we've gotten some promising aspects after all... Esmerelda, are you proud of what has become of Hueco Mundo in the last few months?"

The Primera's voice would fill the silence of the sands, as he spoke aloud to himself. Allowing himself to drift into a daydream of reminiscence before he came back to his senses after only a brief moment of reflection as he tapped into the hivemind that was shared between the clones.

As the Three Clones stood in stillness, awaiting the moves of the opponents before them, One's attention would shift toward Emilia as she took to the air, alledgedly to deliver a strike from her polearm shaped Zanpakuto, or perhaps fire off a cero of her own?

It's immediate reaction to intercept the Quatro as she stood in the air, would soon alter as the clone seemed to change it's mind, or in the very least delay it's immediate reaction, after sensing and witnessing the shift in the air as a gravitational wave would not only begin to pull in the nearby surroundings into the singularity that was Grimaldi, but also the attention of all three clones. As the Pull of the Segunda's reiatsu began to affect the nearby area, the discharge of the Gran Rey Cero would be released within the close proximity of both the clones as well as the other Espada. Without allowing their attention to be lost on both Ximena and Emilia, the clones would act in unison, as each of them began to draw in a breath, and so too was the Gran Ray Cero drawn in, as the clones each performed a Cero Doble.

In the same instance that Ximena sought to deliver a punch to one of the Primera's Clone's, all at once the Gran Ray Cero that once had been fired by Grimaldi was now, not only turned to each member of the Espada in turn by the clones, but also further amplified thanks to the nature of the Cero Doble, as well as the advanced adaptability of the Left Arm, as the once green and black Cero was now Solid black, with an outline of the hue of salmon, as each of the clones redirected the augmented Gran Rey Cero into a refined Gran Rey Cero Obscuros as Ximena would be in the shortest path from sheer destruction as she was by choice, drawn in to closer proximity.

As for the Clone who stood in the center of the others, and so too delivered the augmented Cero directly back to sender, the Clone would be the only one who allowed his blast to stop prematurely as he performed a Sonido to reappear directly behind the Segunda as a flurry of hand-to-hand blows were exchanged from the Clone to Grimaldi as the clone yearned to act as a force of not only distraction, but to also drive the Espada into the oncoming mass of Reishi as it shot toward him.

Kuvello would smile to himself as he was able to watch the battle through the shared senses of each of the clones as he also took in the information of the battle, using this intel to not only empower himself, but also allow him to see faults in the Army Valiosa was forming as to better coach should he need to.

"Yes... I believe this will do quite nicely..."

She listened carefully to Segunda’s words as she moved further up into the air—until she caught the eye of one of the clones. It moved but stopped just as quickly, pulled in by Segunda’s reiatsu. Were they really that slow? She was far enough from the gravitational pull to watch as the three clones absorbed the Gran Rey Cero and turned it into a Doble, which was then fired directly at her and the other Espada. A look of shock flashed in her eyes before her body began to fall from the sky, her reiatsu weakening as her charred form plummeted. A trail of smoke marked her descent into the sand, accelerating with each passing second. When her body hit the ground, it quickly began to fade away, along with her reiatsu signature.

And yet, the clone closest to her suddenly saw Emillia reappear in front of him unharmed by what they they had just witnessed, her pink eye glowing as she released a Cero at point-blank range, aiming to pierce the clone’s chest and heart. Simultaneously, her Zanpakutō lunged forward, targeting the right side of the chest to pierce through flesh, bone, and organs. At the same moment, the tip of her halberd came into view of the clone, positioned to hook onto his neck. The bottom point of her blade was aligned precisely to pierce the jugular as she pulled her Zanpakutō back. Meanwhile, her foot came down on the back of his knee, aiming to break it, allowing her to apply additional force to tear the clone’s head off.

“Don’t think you’re the only one to use Gemelos Sonido ”

She had little trust in the Espada around her; as far as she knew, they weren’t particularly interested in working together. This was the first time they had all worked together—or so she thought, and she used that term loosely. One of her clones pointed down, blasting a Cero into the sand with its free hand, causing the ground to collapse and pull both herself and the clone down. Moonlight shone into the depths below, revealing another world—a familiar place with large tree trunks standing in abundance.

Another thought crossed her mind: how far can these clones go? Must they remain within eyesight, or was sensing distance sufficient? Did they have free will, or were they controlled like puppets? And where exactly was the real Primera? Questions, questions, questions—all to be answered in time. For now, she would savor the moment, for here, she could truly express herself. The clone of the Primera would see pure joy sparkling in her eyes.
